I came across this today when I needed it most, God is so good. Thank you so much for being an inspiration and such a great role model for me. praying for you,
For me, I have asked guys out, but was politely rejected when they said yes to hanging out but never brought it up. Right now, I actually have formed a friendship bond with them and I can't be more grateful. It stopped the questioning what if and will look forward to what God has planned for me. Thank you for sharing and I adore you!! Finding you has been good timing and truly a blessing!♡
I totally agree with you, Emily. I could have saved myself from a lot of heartbreak by not asking guys out. If I could tell the guy he liked me, I made it easier for them by showing interest or making the first move. Many guys in school, well into college and even beyond that are often not ready for a committed relationship the way girls are, and so if that's the case, it's better to let them be, especially if they can't make the first move themselves. It's great that you're putting all these wonderful messages out there! I wish I would have known this when I was younger! :)
+Barbora O Thanks so much for chiming in here, Barbora. A tough lesson to learn indeed, but I'm grateful to be able to share it! Thank you for watching.
Honestly, you've answered every question that I as an almost 20 year old am going through. Old friendships are starting to get foggy and serious dating is starting to be questioned. I'm Catholic but really don't follow the religion anymore, but still believe in God and his ways. I really feel like God directed me to your channel because your responses are so confirming to what I've been told by either people.
When I serve others, I don't have to talk to myself in the mirror. Because I feel radiant and beautiful. I almost committed suicide because my friends decided I wasn't worth talking to anymore because I was negative, opinionated, and depressed. But God would always provide me with at least one friend at any given time. Now, I do not tire. Even if I am the positive side of a friendship and I feel drained in a friendship, I listen and I tell them they can come to me any time. Because God never gave up on me. They stop talking to me when they grow tired of my eternal optimism for them. Then, I start praying God can reach them where I can't. I agree with a lot in your videos. I am a very conservative Christian and am 28 and have never had a boyfriend. I just feel like God has called me to be selfless. And, if that makes me a doormat, I don't care. Unless it hinders my Faith. It is preferring others and being submissive to God's will, as I heard a minister talk about in church recently.
Thank you for making these videos. They have been such a great help, they've helped me to make small steps and sacrifices to daily grow as a daughter of God. God bless you lots :)
I appreciate and totally accept that it is the opinion of some people that men should be the one to pursue a woman, but does that mean that it is wrong for a woman do pursue a man? Would that be explicitly wrong or displeasing to God? I don't understand why it would be! Thank you! Xx
Sian Troote I don't think that it is immoral for a woman to pursue a guy, just that most of the time if the guy doesn't pursue you and you have to do it for him there is a reason (for example he is immature, or not interested in you enough)
Omg girl! Your videos are so good! I can't stop watching and I need to move on with other things in my day. Thank you for all of these topics and for being so obedient to the Lord! Love you sister in Christ!
Hi Emily, I have a question for you... I have cousins who live halfway across the country. I’ve visiting them a couple times this year and got to know some of their close friends during my visits. My sisters are currently visiting my cousins and they just told me that my cousin thinks her friend liked me but was too shy to ask for my number. I kind of liked him too, but I’m not really sure what to do since he didn’t let on he liked me nor did he actually tell my cousin (she just presumed). I barely know the guy but would be interested in getting to know him. Should I tell my sister to give him my number? Or should I just wait for him to make a move?
I love this I feel like your my older-wise sister that I never had!
+Kathleen Storen :) Love it.
Kathleen, I feel the same way even though she is my little sister! ;)
I feel the same way too!!
