Like, for me, sometimes I know that someone is speaking English, but my brain interprets it as complete gibberish. It's worse when I'm talking to someone face to face, as reading their expression makes it difficult to concentrate on processing what they're saying. Edit: APD can present in multiple forms, including difficulty hearing in noise, auditory attention deficit, remembering instructions or information given orally, etc.
