Yes I'm aware those rear tyres need replacing...
Really great video! Extremely comprehensive and completely clear, thanks very much!
Don't know, how good it is to see a new video from you, because new video means new trouble to you :) But I would like to say a big thank you for making these vids, because they helped me a lot, and I think, I'm not alone with this...
Fantastic video, excellent visuals, extremely well explained, thanks a million for your efforts with these vids, much appreciated.
Be jabbers! Thanks mate. Now I know why my hand brake never works no matter how much I try to service it. That dastardly mechanism is very soon going to join my trash heap. Thanks for the great video.
Great video, very detailed. Thanks for the patience and work you put into. Best regards from Portugal
Fantastic vid, I'm doing exactly the same on exactly the same car once the weather warms up a bit
Quiero agradecer a quien subió este video, a pesar de estar en otro idioma me fue muy útil para reemplazar el freno de mano de mi mondeo; saludos desde México.
Thanks for the great video. Very clear.
Best Vidoe on YT i have found Thx a lot for it!
I know its an old video but a tip for the floating baking plate is to drill 2 guide holes in it first. That way you can dowel it in place with for example a pop rivet before re fitting.
Thanks very helpful.
Very helpful video! Thank you!
Hi .. At around 08:20 the gear selector is exposed. To change the lever dust cover, do I need to go through this whole process or is there a much easier and direct method of achieving this? Thanks
Thankfully mine is the diesel and doesn’t have a middle box it is just straight pipe and makes it a little easier to do this job
Спасибо👍
Hello Craig. Nice video. Could you please mention which model handbreak did you use? I've been at junkyard, but couldn't find any suitable. Thanks
Hello, do you know if on this car there is a sensor on the coolant radiator?
On my Mondeo the fans are running too early and the engine cannot reach a proper running temperature.
Thx
at around 4.13 when you are showing the handbrake being pulled up and down there seems to be an awful amount of flex in the metal, is that just me or is there something else i've missed?
thanks
Hi, great video and great advice.
I presume this would be the same a a Jaguar 2002 x type.
Would you have any idea where can I find a used 2006 manual handbrake assembly
Thanks
From a quick images search they seem different so don't buy a Mondeo one for a Jag. Phone around wreckers, try eBay.
Thanks
How to remove the handbrake:
Step 1: Remove the entire car piece by piece.
Steg 2: Remove the handbrake.
any ideas craig were you could get a new leaver ? scrap yards your only putting old back in
Ford will happily sell you one but the price won't be pleasant. Replacing the lever is only necessary to switch out the old failing self-ratcheting types, the traditional adjustment types are reliable and unlikely to ever fail. Check the ratchet & release works ok and give it a visual once over and it should out-last the car.
@@CraigsDIY thats the one have in a 2007 model and it just gave way
@@CraigsDIY just thought ley you know craig £300 ouchhhh lol ah sure
The best I formative video regarding this matter well done and God bless
Hey mate. Few months ago, hand brake light started to show and then mechanic replaced the cables but still the handbrake light shows up randomly (it stays on for a long time and then once parked n engine is switched, it goes off. So unable to even chk with a scanner). Any idea what is causing this strange problem mate?
First place I'd look would be the switch on the lever that activates the warning light.
Is this handbrake assembly same for x type jag ?
Where can I get the mechanical one?
Couldn’t find on eBay
Thanks
hello sir im lookin into the same issue with my 2002 jag , did u find a fix to our problem?
Really no other way to adjust it?
