Vor 27 Jahren sah ich zum ersten mal auf MTV Guano Apes. Habe dann lange nichts mehr gehhört, jetzt seh ich dieses Video ....Wow des Reifer werden steht Dir verdammt gut ;-)
Ob das Lied jetzt als gut oder schlecht bewertet wird ist immerhin noch Geschmackssache. Was aber denke ich keiner abstreiten kann ist, dass die Guano Apes mit dieser ersten Singleauskopplung an ihre Hits wie "Open your Eyes", "Lord's of the Bords", "Big in Japan" oder eben "No speech" ganz gut anknüpfen. Für jemanden der diesen Sound mag ist es wohl ein gelungener Comebackauftakt. Sie machen halt da weiter, wo sie meiner Meinung nach niemals hätten aufhören dürfen, bei richtig guter Musik.
Ich habe die Apes immer geliebt und ich werde sie immer lieben. Auch wenn sie sich verändert haben, woraus man ihnen nun wirklich keinen Vorwurf machen kann ...
I love how they explore new musical ideas. You can't expect them to sound like they did in the 90s. They are not Limp Bizkit. Oh and the years were really kind to Sandra...she looks amazing.
Ah, c'mon man, back then she was, what, 35? That's not that old, people still look very good at that age. As for Limp Bizkit: Have you heard their song Endless slaughter yet? It's the last they have released so far, unfortunately. But it's certainly different from their other material. They didn't sell out, they just eased the tone knob back a little. It's called increasing your target audience. That's how you make money in this business, and stay together as a band: more fans, the more you keep playing and writing new music. It's also called growing up or maturing but who likes to think in those terms?
They were and still are my favourite band.....but...... i dont now why they did this with their sound. Explanations like they grow up, they have families, they cant go around smashing things anymore etc. are not in place. And her voice is not the same anymore it is weaker she cant sing those old songs anymore with such power and it is usually with a lot of help from the guys in band. All in all they are still my favourite band but first 3 albums - awesome 5 and last 2 albums - not bad 3. This is just my opinion. Anyway i really dont know why they did this and im not trying to find out why i will just continue to listen their music even the new songs just with a little melancholy in me.
come on guys, you shouldnt compare this with open your eyes or loards of the boards, those songs were pure masterpieces. this one is still great, and its not commercial at all.

Try to see them live. I did a few weeks ago, and they have nearly the same power as 20 years ago :D
