    Strong 4.5+ tennis for sure. Great net play from both, some fantastic pickups on some tough passing shots

    Good match. This seems like exactly the level club players should aspire to. Going beyond this is just then a matter of cranking up the intensity meter incrementally. Solid 4.5 tennis here, in my view.

      Thank you Michael. I totally agree. Its almost like is it even worth it to be better than this? Harder to find opponents, more physically demanding, more likely to get injured. Id rather stay 4.5 level and just play clean tennis

      @@usopenjohn3725 That's an interesting question. As joint-repair technologies improve, it's possible to play high level tennis into one's 60s now. If you don't have OTHER pressing goals, it can be interesting to aspire to 5.0 tennis. What does that even look like? Even faster, even better serve, better tactics, quicker reflexes, hitting even harder. Tennis lends itself to obsession. I am starting to get obsessed. My next stop is basically where you are (though I am older). Already my mind is like "Okay ... then what? Is there yet another level I can reach?"

      @@michaelchurchill1048after a certain point it becomes a game of being able to keep up the intensity while also continuing to be consistent. The better you are the more dynamic your movements / hits etc become the more strain you’ll put on your body

      @@usopenjohn3725 A lot of people feel the same about staying 4.5, which results in extreme sandbagging. I got bumped to 4.5 and found many 5.0 and 5.5 level players hanging out there because there are not enough people at that level to create leagues or tournaments. Only way to keep playing without heavy travel expenses.

    Great highlights! The behind the back at 0:20 was ridiculous

    Hi John. So with SwingVision make sure you have enough memory on phone otherwise the video recording will stop once your phone reaches full memory. When you upload swing vision matches to their cloud service, you want to have swing vision app opened and be on WiFi. If the upload speed is slow, force quit the app, then restart again. Do not turn phone screen off and leave phone on swing vision app to max the speed of your uploads. Once video is done, hit offload file to free up memory on your phone. Feel free to ask me any other questions on the app as I have used it for 3 years now.

    On many shots the ball seems to hit in a substantially different spot than the tracker shows.

      Absolutely but these are highlights, only. If they played this well on every point of the whole match, then certainly they'd be 5.0, but we're left to assume that the non-highlighted points were less impressive.

    Those speeds are woefully inaccurate

    • @usopenjohn3725
      @usopenjohn3725  6 місяців тому

      True…I dont even know how we rec players are supposed to measure our speed. I dont even think a speed gun is accurate. The technology they use at pro tournaments is just unfortunately not available to us

      @@usopenjohn3725the SwingVision site says to add 20 mph to get the max speed of the ball because the app measures the average mph and not the max.

    • @hillwellford9637
      @hillwellford9637 6 місяців тому +1

      SwingVision is accurate if (1) you take into account that it's speed of the shot over the entire flight of the ball, not right off the racket the way TV radar measures it (so, speeds are 10-20% lower on SwingVision than on TV/radar gun) and (2) SwingVision is inconsistent but the inconsistencies cancel out as the number of shots measured increases. If SwingVision shows your average forehand being 50mph, it's probably really 57mph, and any particular shot shown onscreen may be off by 20% in either direction. So, it's a great training tool but it's not so great as a measure-this-one-point tool.
