Edna, I love adding dried flowers to projects and shells too. These bottle stoppers and bottle openers are so pretty. You always do a beautiful job, all the way up to cleanup of your molds as you are creating. I’m going to share this on Laura’s Art Corner. 😘😘😘
I have been toying with the idea of making these bottle openers but I did wonder if they were strong enough to do the job, Thanks for going into all this detail - I'm off to order that mould kit :) Great video, you show and explain things so well. New subscriber
The BEST tutorial for these stoppers and openers I’ve see to date!!!! Question, what glue did you use to attach the stoppers to the resin shapes? These are beautiful and I’m ready to start. Thank you!!!! #THE BEST!!!!!
I use 5 minute 2 part epoxy to attach my stoppers… You made some beautiful stoppers and openers!!! I’ve been going back and forth about the openers… I think I will go ahead and get the mould for them… hopefully you can order extra metal pieces for them….
I Edna, these are beautiful. Could you use the bottle stoppers with the screws and ball on in eco resin, as im unable to use resin due to a medical problem. Thanku. X
Good question, I've never tried since I can't get the same transparent effect with pureCure but you should try and see if it works and let me know 😉😉😍😍
Hiya, thank you most of them are sold now and the last two im keeping for myself my husband loves them. I'll be making some more soon and I sell them for 20 euros each, shipped from France ex. P&P. Send me an email at edna@wargon.net to order 🥰
Thanks, I don't have them online yet, too much admin for such small pieces but if you'd like to send me an email at edna@wargon.net I can send you the details to buy via PayPal. 🙂
A couple years ago, my husband took great pleasure in finding flowers around our neighborhood, bringing them home (with our neighbors' permission), and drying them in silicone for me. But to our horror and disappointment, they soon began to lose their color. Have you experienced this? If not, what are we doing wrong? He followed directions, they originally turned out nice. But within months... They were useless. Help! 😢
Hi Jay, it's true that certain flowers will lose their richness when dried, I don't dry light color or pastel-toned flowers, these tend to fade to off-white once dried. I usually use bright-coloured flowers and don't overdo the drying time, just a few days should do. 😉😉

Oh wonderful, thanks Laura, tag me on Instagram and I'll say hi 👋 there too 🥰
You can dip the flowers in resin before you place them and they will not float .
Those are all gorgeous. Thank you
Thank you back Pam 😍

Where do you buy the metal thing for the bottle openers? Love your work. Thanks
@@anthonyrivera7815 Amazon 😉
I’m having a devil of a time demolding them!!
Any thoughts? My first time using the molds
@KrisMader-h8l try soaking them in water, makes it easier to un mold.
For the bottle stoppers, wouldn’t you need casting resin since they’re deep? Trying to determine what resin is best
No, it's not too deep but I did them in 2 pours for the flowers so they wouldn't float to the top.

Can we put any type of flower in the resin? Live? Artificial? What should I NOT put in resin
Never put live flowers in resin, they will rot a nasty brown colour in a matter of weeks, always use driedflowers.
That resin is considered useful for deep pours?
No
How is the resin for UV and yellowing?
So far really good, non have yellowed 👍🏻
Beautiful!! Do you sell them online and how much are they?
