Although i think Sheryl is a great bass player, i just love how she plays acoustic guitar, her licks on this song or so many others in her carreer seems like a natural sound full of that energy that only she can express through her compositions, "It don't hurt" from her classic 1998's album The Globe Sessions is a great example of that, keep Rock on Sheryl, we love you!

OMG I love this song so much. I used to keep the Globe Sessions in my CD player in my car all the time and didn't switch it out for like a year. This song and Riverwide are my absolute faves from this period. She is so talented and one of my all-time favorite musicians. Love her!!!

This talented woman is what I could be if I go to musical school at the age of eight. I'm painter now but sometimes I think how great it would be to play many instruments like Sheryl does. I respect the multiinstrumentalists, especially women.

The minute she started singing it was 1998 again. Sheryl obviously works very hard, and I hope she gets the same enjoyment out of playing her music as we still have listening to it (well, maybe not this song because of the story... Let's call it satisfaction instead).

Came here to find out what the weird chords were. I should’ve known it was an open tuning! Great one-woman-band performance. Just rediscovered this album this past week, appreciating it more than I did in 1998 (and I liked it well enough back then). Crow is a musician’s musician.

Totally impressed by this lady . Just watched her " Sheryl " biography and talk about a driven no bullshit kinda gal ! She seems like a person that you could just belly up next to her at a dive bar and just shoot the shit about nothing at all . Her musical talents are awesome . The only instruments that I haven't seen her play are the drums and horns but I'm pretty sure she could figure those out too .
