The problem with bike lanes is that tow truck drivers think it's for sweeping glass after an accident on to, and my tires cost over $120 each and that's for clinchers, some tubular s are up to $160 each. So if you ride at say 22-25mph and hit glass from an accident your 145 psi tire is empty in about .5 seconds. But as an every day cyclist, there are some riders who are just twats, like the ones who run red lights or don't have lights on their bikes or helmets. Until you can see me from the international space station then I don't have enough lights on my bike, and I use car horns because every thing else is just ignored. Just give us 1 meter, you can drive over things we have to avoid, cruising at nearly 40 feet per second things can go terribly wrong on a bike! Sometimes gravity just sucks.
Such a tough guy the SBTF. No gloves, no protective wear (other than helmet) and harassing someone in a vehicle much heavier. Obviously he is invincible.

If there was one thing I understood as a motorbike rider, it was never try to argue with a driver of a 4 wheeled vehicle about what I thought they were wrong to do.
@4:20 violation aside, the driver of cam car potentially could have avoided all of that confrontation if he simply did not engage with the motorbike rider by honking. I don't think spraying your washer jets was necessary at that paticular moment either as it just forced an adverse reaction from the rider... it's up to police to intercept potential traffic offenders and everyone else using the road to concentrate @ the task on hand, being driving 🤠 childish...

Usually, that really short flash from a truck means that, as in a polite acknowledgement. To show displeasure they (usually) do a much longer high beam blast. He was keeping a fair bit of distance back, it seemed, not crowding you as you went. Liked the long horn blast, must admit ... 📯🤭🤣
I did that once to an idiot motorcyclist (not the washers just the horn)....he responded by smashing my left side mirror clean off. I felt like turning him into a speed hump....but sanity prevailed. As usual the cops weren't interested.
With narrow cycle lanes it can be safer for the cyclist not to use them, they are less likely to suffer close passes and, in this particular example, there is an escape route if a vehicle is passing too closely, if they were in the lane, they would have nowhere to go.
