Thank you for the video. (I am no mechanic). My battery was having issues starting my acura rl, and then it died. My new battery seemed to work great for a few weeks, and then started to seem like it was barely turning the engine over upon starting it. (I noticed it would seem to have this issue starting in the mornings) I saw this video and removed the Bluetooth unit , and now my acura now fires up great each time. (My hands free bluetooth unit was also located in the front passenger side kick panel just on the right side of the legs under the glove box.)
Very clear video and easy to understand. I appreciate that. I have an aux transmitter that I bought at Walmart that plays audio from my phone at a custom radio channel for my 2004 acura tsx. My question is: if the bluetooth module is disconnected, will the aux transmitter still work? Or will it not. The charging system light has always been on for a while now, stays on all the time while the car is running.
Thank you for this I got a 2010 tsx and replaced battery & alternator. Got them both inspected again nothing wrong with them either . One thing Bluetooth has acted up since month's after getting car and never have I thought to unhook this because I run aux anyway .
Didn't even know I had Bluetooth lol but yea it was connected. Disconnected, charged my battery which is good, one year old, and same w alternator. Hoping that fixes it. Going to buy that device now
Yeah it works great! Some vehicles take hours to go to sleep after the battery's been reconnected. So trying to diagnose a parasitic draw when that happens would be harder
Good tip about keeping the battery connected until the in-line was in place. Was doing this check on a car and the draw as the vehicle ‘reset’ the functions due to the disconnect was causing false readings for quite a while before it settled.
I have only a 10 ma draw at #7 backup fuse. Yet #15 under hood has a 62ma draw. So after a few days the battery is dead. I could replace the radio a second time as I did a few yrs ago. I also replaced my speedo few yrs ago as dealer said that’s why I had no panel light on radio button buttons at night with light on. Any ideas
I tried but this did not work for me. I was able to fix the parasitic draw by disconnecting the trunk mounted dvd player that was supplying the NAV with dated maps. All fixed!
I replaced my battery and alternator thinking that it’s those two things that are causing my battery to drain. I need to do this next to see if it will stop draining my battery.
Repair shop charged $335 today to find the draw and do what you did in less than 3 minutes. Wishing I'd found this earlier.
This video helped me figure out a battery drain / dead battery issue for my 2006 Acura TSX, thanks!
Thank you! Saved me a lot of time not having to pull fuses

Thanks..this may be the fix I need for my 2008 TSX
I like the battery checking trick!

Thank you so much for the video. Really appreciate it
No problem! Glad you found it useful

Would a 2005 Honda Accord EX have a Bluetooth. My Battery has been drawing Also. Thank you
Would this apply to the 2004 models? Mine doesn’t seem to have Bluetooth
Thanks for the video! This fixed my problem!
Would I still be able to use the bluetooth with a bluetooth receiver??
Fantastic info, thank you thank you thank you !!
Just tested it I’ll let you know if it worked for my issue
My battery is still dying even after I disconnected the Bluetooth module. Any other checks you recommend me checking?
Could also be the radio. Check fuse #5
My rasp draw at fuse 5 is 30 ma, fuse 7 is 11 ma.
My 2004 accord ex didn’t have that module. I have a 30ma draw at # 5 radio fuse

Did you ever find the draw, I had the Bluetooth issue and fixed that. Now a yr later I'm getting a parasitic draw again.

THANKS
Welcome!
Thanks 🙏 a million you’re dope!!
Where is it located on 2010 TSX?
I already had the bluetooth module disconnected could that be my battery then?
Mine was already unplugged and its still getting drained. Any other suggestions?

Do you know where the it's located in an RL
Renaissance man strikes again............
I need to where Acura tsx 09 is located @
behind, and underneath the glovebox
what about a 2004 tsx? It looks like theres no bluetooth
I have a 2004 tsx on my stereo it says Bluetooth and I could never figure it out but I just pulled it and I’m hoping it works
Kinda sucks for me because I actually use my Bluetooth but battery drain is a more important issue.
I'm having this problem. Started fine this morning and drove to store and came out and wouldn't start. A man jumped me. Same year same car
Did doing this fix the problem?
so i did this and it was already unplugged.
