I just watched the Any% WR Speedrun for this game on the PS Version. It took over 39 minutes. It's surprising that the WR on the N64 is about 1/3 faster than the PS. To comment on this run, congrats on the WR. You only have to improve by a tiny bit to get the 26 that you're seeking. :)
the reason its a lot faster cause on n64 the minimum token requirement to beat the game is 30 compared to all the other versions requiring 40 tokens. Also thanks!
