By the 1940s there were VERY FEW 160 acre farms. The Depression in the 30s had caused farmers to sell of portions of their origional 160 acres. Some farmers sold off land as they got older and their sons either died in WW 1, OR lived but moved to town after discharge. Our farm in NE Kansas had 120 acres by my time, and my dads.

Pretty much the same story in my family as well. My dad and my uncle had 100 acres in central Iowa. They sold it in the early eighties and I still haven't quite forgiven them for that. Thanks for watching and commenting. I'm new to this, and appreciate all the views I can get.

I, am 75yrs old. I would love to see a sim game where there is a house, outhouse, smoke house, chicken house, hog house, farrowing shed, grainery shed, corn crib, barn, windmill, all bldgs of WOOD. Id like to see a sim where the farmer used only horses to farm with, and I know this is possible as ive seen a quirky one where it looks like the talaban is farming with bulls. the horse farm having either a steam engine OF AMERICAN MAKE, OR a 1910s gas tractor and a thresher. COURSE, I horse treadmill would work instead. Id also like to see a 40s rendition where there was a 20s tractor with plow, disc to go with it, With hogs, chickens, and milk cows to go with the horses. I grew up in those times kinda and sure do miss them. Im still farming a bit on 10 acres, 6 plowable, with my gran dads 34 CC Case, a 40 B, a 48 H , 50 Cub Demonstrator, and a 67 Panzer garden tractor, 3 wheel.

I realize there were no forage wagon in the 40s, but the game doesn't have a good hay buck either. Until the game has a hand scythe and horses that can pull implements I make do with what the game offers.

What are the mods used in this?

They didnt have harrows like that either, or tractors with a built in bed on them either, or plastic ANYTHING. Dang bud, do a little research. I had a sim game that I found a steel wheel plow for, a disc with no transport wheels, , a iron tired grain drill, a iron wheel dump rake, pull type combine and corn picker.

I appreciate your comments.... but maybe you could be a little less critical, I do what I can. Dang bud, maybe you should research the constraints of this game, I am not a modder, so I cannot create equipment that the game doesn't offer. The purpose of this video series was to give the young generations a taste of the hard work that used to be involved in day to day farming. It takes a lot of time to put out these videos, and if all I get is negative comments I am beginning to wonder if it's even worth it.

I sure wanna appopgize for sounding rude and unapriciative towards your efforts. I was just making comments as I we nt along. Wasnt intending to be critical in the sense of slamming your game. Not in the least.. I was just making idle comments for the most part. I just reread my post again, and I guess I sounded way. to critical. I sure didnt mean to sound hateful.
