I have never owned an MPC (but I do a lot of transcribing and recreation of songs,) but I watched the whole video just because of how well it was all explained. Amazing ear and recreation.

Bro, I was about to be mad at first thinking this doesn't have anything to do with the producer and Kendrick, I fast forward to the production part. Man you smoked the explanation superb job on showing how to work that machine, I haven't touched my MPC in years but anyway I can't it was stolen, so then I just got some photography equipment instead. I had the MPC2000xl, I would have trashed it after seeing this MPC you were working on. Dang, you got skills!

@@ItsTheFuzzMan I’m a heavy sampler myself……that’s not what I was trying to say. For some reason I thought this was a Dr Dre track and Dre always sample something and have musicians replay it to make it sound crisp.
nicely done. he's also alternating the first bar with a longer ending of the final chord. must be another take later in the song. doesn't sound like he stretched the chord. or maybe he did 🤔 but that alternating of the short and long chord makes a huge difference.
Great illustration! But there's ONE thing you can't teach, and that's creativity. It's one thing to recreate a beat, but it's something totally different to create this from scratch.

The primary chord we hear in that song is E-7/G with an A minor 7 chord at the end of every phrase." - some guy on twitter but that could imply that kendrick was saying it because that would be the end of him. crazy asf cuz kendrick that typa petty to do that lmao.
