Nothing better than learning from a self taught bloke with long experience. The way you describe it comes from you understanding how you yourself learnt which in turn makes it much easier for a learner like me to understand and gain confidence with the processes that have to go through the mind and hands to get the stuff done. Thank you, this is the best mini digger tutorial I've seen.
Hello, I am a digger operator. I've operated from .7 up to 750 tonne excavators. With smaller excavators never try to slew with your dipper arm ( outa boom ) at full extension as you can and will roll the digger, especially if your sitting on top of dirt that you have cut out. Just be careful everyone, take your time they are quick and can cuase alot of damage to other yourself, bpeople or structures. Another thing I would also suggest is dial before you dig for underground services. You do not want to hit them.
Great lesson this - these things aren't easy, there's a lot going on trying to get it to stay perpendicular to the ground and not going too deep etc. Great lesson. Thanks for taking the time to do this. Big help for someone like me who's just starting out using one (DIY landscape job).
You should! A lot of people are nervous about the fact, it’s mega relaxing and a lot easier to use once you get used to the controls! Have a little play Let me know how you get on
What a fantastic tutorial buddy. You're a natural teacher. I will be hiring one of these for my garden when I'm on holiday for 3 weeks and can't wait to have a go! Do you know how much a full tank of diesel is on a micro digger and generally how many hours of work you get out of it? Cheers again mate. Subbed!
Just starting a job and you have given me the confidence to go for it. I just thought I might stick a label on each handle until I get use to what each one does. Is that a good idea?
Don’t over think it; Take delivery of the machine Ask for a basic familiarisation training: most delivery drivers will be happy to do this Then spend a good 15/20 minutes having a play with the controls, get confidence and then start your work. Take your time; Rome wasn’t built in a day, do the job with high attention slowly, and then with experience you can become faster and more efficient!

That means a lot!!!
This is one of the best instruction videos i would say. Thanx for sharing.

Good luck! Take it steady and keep the concentration up!
Get my mini digger tomo. Glad I watched this as you explain things very well for noobies. Keep up the good work!
Good luck and you will love it!
Great job! I am giving it a try for my first time this morning, and thanks to you, I feel confident.
Amazing to hear!
I’m a 65 year old granny - not a lot of money so gonna give it a go to sort my drive 👍👍🤣👍
You’ll be fine!!!!
Great video I haven't driven a digger for a long time this has given me a refresher on how to operate it as a bit rusty
It’s like riding a bike 🚴
Me too not driven one since my water board days, going to hire one to dig out base for my garage
Awsome video feel more confident operating micro digger tomorrow cant wait, thank you
Very helpful. Thank you.
Thanks for that video, that is a great basic instruction for using a digger, I might even give it a go myself now
You should!

Hi Mate
I couldn’t actually tell you that, we keep a jerry can and top it up daily. But they don’t use a lot you’d probable get 20hrs easy out a tank.
@@cutcrewltd thanks for the reply buddy. How much is that Jerry can to fill?
Great stuff👌👌
Thanks Brian!
Very helpful thank you

Great, thanks alot.
Peace
Thanks Jack. Super helpful.
No worries Thomas!
Will it do a two meter foundation trench? I will be working in a tight space with not a lot of swivel, but working in a straight line will be fine.
Check the maximum dig depth of the specific machine I have a feeling 2m deep is far too deep for a micro!
@@cutcrewltd looking at it 2 meters is too deep. 600 wide, maybe rebar and 1 meter deep sounds good, although I’ll get an engineer to check, thanks
@@stevemcilroy.62 think the deepest we have ever had to lay foundations was 1.2, due to a tree being near the boundary, as you said rebar!
Can I ask. How viable is it to hire a digger for a self build and clear the site and dig the footings yourself?
Extremely!
But you’d want something larger than a micro, maybe a 3T machine!
@@cutcrewltd Perfect, thanks.
That is an excellent video, everything well explained , thank you very much. Just want a digger now to practice.with
Good luck 🤞
What is the running time on a full tank of diesel @ low revs....
This was the petrol variant
It used a full tank after 13 hours on max chat!
Probably quicker to dig with those shovel hands
Comment of the year 😂😂😂
this is not a micro digger !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
+david lawson that sir is a mini, however exactly same concept and controls!
