Have you had the opportunity to compare the Magpie HV-80 with this one? I'm interested in your thoughts.
Also, my smartphone is an iPhone. What are your thoughts concerning the app and iPhone? Can you construct a room or even a whole floor plan with the app? Then, presuming you can use an iPhone with the app, can you export it to a CAD program or save it in a CAD-friendly file format?

I wasn’t aware the code doesn’t work outside if the Uk. Have you tried and it failed?
I haven’t compared it yet but am planning on doing a comparison in the future.
As for the app, I also have an iPhone and it works great. You can certainly use it to construct an entire floor plan. As for whether it works with a CAD software, honestly I’m not sure as I didn’t test for that, it’s not really something I’m experienced in.

Great video. What's the difference between size 80m & 120m? Is it do with distance? 120m seems to be more advanced with better features. 80m says indoor only?
I'm honestly not sure, I suspect less features given the price difference but their website doesn't make it clear what you're missing out on.
How much metore range?
I can’t remember and can’t find it online. I think it was 50m from memory
Where is the zero point of the measurement?? The middle of the device, the edge of the glass of the beams which look to be inset a bit, or the middle of the device??
It depends on what mode you have it set to. But typically it’s the opposite side of the device to the laser you’re using :)
