This is our arrangement of the Christmas classic “I Saw Three Ships”. We filmed this video during the Alaska midnight sun! Our joyful Celtic interpretation seemed to fit perfectly with the sun, wind, and rushing waters of Alaska! Most artists seem to cut out many of the lyrics, but we included all of the original lyrics, in the call-and-answer style that seems to have been forgotten! I am constantly learning new things and songs while being a Harp Head, Camille and Kennerly. I did not know this song before you announced you would do your arrangement of it. Laurie pointed me to a video of Celtic Woman performing this, and now that I have heard yours… I could swear I heard this melody somewhere, but it must have been so long ago as I cannot remember it. It rings a (cow)bell, but a very silent one. 😊
But I love your version of “I Saw Three Ships”. The harp is the perfect instrument for this Christmas-sy song, and we need not even mention how fitting your angelic vocals are. 👼👼
You’re right, your lovely white dresses really looked like ships’ sails catching the wind. You managed to find a fitting location, yet again. Alaska is such a magical place, but wait till you come to Germany. 😉

This video is beautiful in 4K UHD @60 frames per second. There is no pixelization. There is no blurring of items in motion. The color contrast is lifelike and probably better than being there. The Sun behind you doesn't wash out the water and You. The video file must be massive. Bravo!

Now here’s a treat coming up, I’m sure! The words ‘Christmas classic’, ‘Celtic interpretation’, ‘new arrangement’ all bode well for this video of an old English carol. 4 o’clock on Friday here in England is a rather tricky time for me but rest assured, I’ll be logging on as soon as I can. I assume you’ll be using William Sandys’ 1833 lyrics although the song goes back much further to at least the 17th century but I wonder if you will also add the original first verse: “As I sat on a sunny bank”? I’ll wait with interest.
