Powerful video and bravo to USGS for the content. Music was maybe a bit much, but I guess dramatic like the photos.

exactly. I almost expected a jump scare at the end or something.

I've been wondering what exactly was located at fissure 8 before its appearance. This video answered that question.

Me too!! this makes it just more realistic, I feel sad for people's home and hope everyone got out before the explosion, I just can't imagine living once right un top of a volcanic fissure.

wow. I feel sorry and pity for all who had to leave their home, who had lost their home to Lava. Last time I used Google Earth to locate Fissure 8 I now see that I wasn't precise enough. Still, my question: Was fissure 8, the whole line of fissures predictable? What made the earth break apart there, and lets say, not 3 streets farther to the east, or south? Wat made the lava go there and not go to the south directly?

So what is going on south east of Pahala? 20km data suggests magma movement there coming off the plume.

Just show the video instead of overlaying idiotic emotional sound to add "sensation". It's the result of volcanic activity, we get it.
