We all chose them but some of the cast and producers. What a shame, considering we, the audience, were making the show popular. The ratings weren't the same after season 4 as a result. I'll never understand how they could split such an iconic couple as if we didn't exist. When Luke passed away, i was utterly sad because it's a bit of my teenage years that left with him; but i swear my second thought was for the Brenda+Dylan reunion that would finally never happen... They did us and Brenda especially dirty. I remember reading about the "I hate Brenda" movement back in the day whilst it's actually obvious the majority of us were all big fans of her character and rooting hard for her and Dylan. This was pre social media and I hate to think Shannen may have thought the audience disliked her. Those writers and producers did everything for us to believe that was the case. We've been robbed!
When you actually watch all of these different video montages of all of the Brenda Dylan and Kelly scenes, it's so obvious who Dylan should be with!!! I mean I already knew what I felt, but when you see it all, it's Brenda and Dylan forever ♥️♥️♥️♥️👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼

And the only time she got to have him put her first was after his wife died and he went to live with Brenda in Paris. Then came back to her (the show) as second option again in addition to being back on drugs. So I take that back she has never been his first choice.. She never got the best version of him. The only time he was on the straight and narrow was with Brenda and then Toni (his wife).
Another beautiful story messed up by poor writers and another reason why I never liked Kelly nor can I watch Jeannie in any thing other than season one and two of 90210

Kelly only wanted Dylan bc she was jealous of Brenda. Dylan was in the wrong to for cheating to but remember Brenda had a summer thing too when she was away. Dylan & Brenda was my favorite. I grew up with this show and I loved it. I stopped watching when they shifted the love arc from Dylan-Brenda to Dylan-Kelly. The switch felt really forced and the chemistry of the latter was off. Unfortunately, in any show, there is always gonna be ‘politics’ involved amongst the cast.
