Joji and KSI both having a #1 album when they started off as UA-camrs is absolutely crazy
the difference is joji actually made it on his own, without the pink guy clout. ksi did it with future and 21 savage
@@ONEILGATDASAUCE I don't exactly agree with that. I think both of their fan bases played a part in making their music careers successful, since they both had pretty big followings before they did music. The pink guy clout definitely had an effect.
@@r.i.ptardd okay sure his pink guy clout helped him. but KSI literally had 2 of the biggest rappers right now, and 21 savage being british helped much more considering majority of KSI's fanbase music wise are from UK

Joji is probably my favorite artist rn. His voice is so fucking majestic.
hes not really that good feel like hes using too much auto tune and his songs are kind of too sad
He succeeds where actual celebrities have succeeded, by making a clean break with his old career.
Marky Mark isn't becoming a movie star, but Mark Wahlberg is.
His only good project he dropped was in tongues, but everything after is such garbage, he makes the type of music you would hear in a UA-cam Red ad 😂 not saying he’s like pure trash but to me he’s a hard just eh.

Glad to see Tuv getting the attention he deserves! A lot of songs on Ear Candy are bops and though I admit his lyrics aren't perfect. He's very good with his melodies and replay value and this is only his first album and he will get better, which is something people don't understand. Rooting for him and always will be!

Quadeca's evolution has been insane and I'm so glad I'm here to see it. "I didn't mean to Haunt you" is one of the best projects I've heard personally in the last couple years and it's really a shift in how I view his music

So you’ve never heard of Troye Sivan? Literally one of the best UA-cam to celebrity transitions. He’s sang alongside Taylor swift and Ariana Grande! He was part of the “British Invasion” of UA-cam. He’s hit billboards top 5 multiple times. Plus he’s been in movies too!

Please correct me if I’m wrong but I think Troye Sivan started as a an actor from what I can remember. He was the lead character in Spud when we were younger, as a South African I can confidently tell you that nobody in this country recognised him as a content creator before Spud so I might be wrong.

Joji is so good you can tell he has improved a whole lot
Sort of, he did improve in his singing but he no longer has any soul in any of his music. There's no heart that's in it anymore as he's already made it. He used to make his own beats and style in Chloe Burbank when he wasn't signed, though now he doesn't even make the beat anymore, Glimpse of Us was produced by someone else. His signed music is more studio and corporate, which is kinda bad and good as the music sounds good and professional but you can tell there's no heart in it.
@@roger9684 i disagree, just because George hires songwriters doesn’t mean he’s lost his passion. seriously how easy is it to do the music he does without making it sound repetitive, especially lyrically? i don’t blame him for hiring writers although i’d prefer it if he didn’t.

I’ve always been into watching UA-cam and music related content, so naturally I’ve been most drawn to artists I stumbled across in my recommended like Quadeca and Aries, those guys have been my inspiration to get into music too!
joji is the only youtuber with a respectable catalog to the point where he’s not seen as a youtuber at all as if he never been one
well you have to think all of these creators still post youtube videos besides him so obviously his youtube fan base is going to slowly disappear

Scarlxrd has gotten pretty successful. He used to upload UA-cam content but now he’s doing music full time and is doing pretty well. He’s no where near as big as others but still pretty successful

If you are going to do a follow up, do a video on the group chat boys (Softwilly, isaacwhy, Yumi, etc.) Genuinely great music. Half actual artists half youtubers. Yumi is about to drop his first solo album so perfect timing

first Aries song I heard was Sayonara been a big fan ever since 🔥
I remember discovering Aries through his music videos from the Welcome Home era and fell in love with his sound and the super cool editing style. I didn't find out that he became famous as a UA-camr until much later lol. Same goes for Scarlxrd, although I only knew a few tracks.
When you've got people listening who don't even know you're a UA-camr, then you've really made it ✨

One of the artists who I believe has a great music career is SCARLXRD, who at the time went by Mazzi Maz in the early 2010s. I think he has a great music career with an amazing clothing brand, DXXMLIFE

another guy: Yumi. Honestly his whole friend group has made several banger albums/singles but Yumi himself is up and coming. Guy went from R6 Siege content to making great songs and living with some of his closest friends today
