Some people feel like all you do is blaming celebrities for getting surgeries but in reality what you do is very important. People, especially young ones, should see these videos and realize to stop comparing yourself to them.

@marialara9823 i think she said that bc men generally aren't good at clocking subtle makeup or most plastic surgery (unless its very obvious like much bigger boobs or ass) unless men have an interest in makeup or cosmetic procedures themselves. They just notice "wow shes aging AMAZING" "wow she looks so hot".
But women usually notice these things more because we pay a lot of attention to female beauty and how to obtain it and stay curious about how it all works.

I don't know why celebrities are so scared to be upfront and say "yes, I have had these procedures done to my face/body" when everyone else noticed it. She is still pretty, not everyone looks as good as she does. She wouldn't be less beautiful but she would be more honest.

She didn't actually say she had just 1 though, she just said that people accuse her of having 6, 7, 8 nose jobs, but she actually hasn't done anything to her nose since she's been 23. So technically, she never said she only got 1 and then backtracked, she just didn't really give an exact number, but specified it wasn't as many as most people think and that it's been a long time since the last one.

She is very much into the esoteric and occult. Which is fine if that's what fascinates you, but it feels like she gravitates towards it because she is insecure and needs all these signs to confirm to her things will work out ok.

You do risk your life everytime you get put under anesthesia. Even when every precaution is taken, anything can go wrong. Surgery is no joke.

The thing is, the face lifts are THE quintessential surgeries that these women are getting that are making their features more striking and keeping them looking 30 forever. I really don't care about their nose jobs and lip filler because I think most people just assume all female celebs get that stuff done. What would legit change the way people see hollywood beauty is the face lifts and what the facelifts are capable of as well as how young these women are getting them done.
Yup. Getting a facelift around mid-late 30's is ideal because at that age your body is going to heal much better. Then after that you wont look like your peers who have not had surgery. You'll appear to age slower.
Dr. Gary Linkov said the earlier the facelift, the more one will have it. He hypothesized Madonna had her first in the thirties.
@@cryforthemoon Mmm I'm not sure if that's accurate. I agree with MadebySoul, you're just more likely to have more facelifts the younger you have one done. Getting a facelift in your 30s is nuts.
So I think them getting their facelifts in their 30s is NOT helping them. While it is making them look striking now, later it will be harder and harder to maintain. I work in pharma and most women get a facelift in their late 40s, early 50s and omg they look stunning. Brad Pitt held off until he was 60. The goal is to do as few as possible and hold off as long as you can.

I 100% agree, she's still SO caught up in her appearance and perfectionism, she'll never be done with plastic surgery, she'll never be happy.
Megan has a whole new face. And she definitely had some type of injectable around her hip area because she used to be a pencil and now she has wider hips. And she was a pencil after childbirth.
I think the main problem nowadays is that all these stars are trying to look like someone who doesn't even exist, all the filters, all the photoshop photos, they cause huge mental confusion. This is very sad, especially since these are young or very young people who have already undergone several plastic surgeries. The worst thing is that they seem to be telling the truth, but it's still half true, have you noticed? they admit to something but omit everything else, I don't know how to explain it... it's like someone saying they had two plastic surgeries but omitted 10 others...

I think she wouldve aged incredibly, but she's done too much in her face. It's a common story. She feels a lot of pressure and body dysmorphia, she's known for her beauty, etc. I'm sure she's overthinking her appearance every single day, thus she does too much.

I remember her as a woman with incredibly beautiful natural features, eyebrows on the thin side and striking jet black hair, I ain't seeing none of that nowadays. She looks like any other person with too much plastic surgery and got rid of her natural hair color so to me she's pretty much unrecognizable.
Kim Kardashian also had a ton of surgeries, but at least I can still tell she's Kim Kardashian even from afar or in a little thumbnail.

As a feminist, I'm aware of my own internalised misogyny, but I very uncomfortable to watch her divert with ridiculous self-depricating humour. She seems to have an unhealthy relationship with her appearence, which is sad...

Lori, when Meghan was trying to be funny about the bbl, going on and on and you said it seemed like a red herring, you're absolutely right. It's a perfect example of someone deflecting with exaggeration. She's trying to make this big (almost comical) point about how we'll know if she gets it because it will be so big and perfect if she has to go thru the recovery. But this whole tangent is just to redirect our focus to the bbl specifically, and her rejection of it. So that we don't stop to think about how there are other options than a typical bbl, as you pointed out. And with her going on and on it doesn't give the interviewer a chance to ask if shes looked into other possibilities since she does seem interested in an amazing butt. But most importantly it just comes off like "she doth protest too much". We get it. You haven't had a bbl. And we shouldn't ask any further questions.🙄
Also, her comment about having one nose job, and then adding she hadn't one done since she was 23 was highly suspect. I now 100% believe she's had more than one. And you know it's really hard for me to believe that you'll get your nose done a couple times, get your boobs done as well, and then say you REALLY want a brow lift, but not have gotten one. (When you have the money and access) The whole being scared of surgery just seems like a line she came up with to explain why she hasn't had all the procedures we think she has. It's really convenient is all I'm saying.

It’s a bit weird the pessimism, from some people here towards her even though she’s saying she may get some of these things in future. People shouldn’t act like they know everything about some of these people as well.
@@jgunner94 Well for my comment specifically I wouldn't call it pessimism so much as skepticism. And I'm certainly not saying I know for sure what she has or hasn't had done. Simply that it's more likely than not she's had more than she's sharing. Which if is the case would be lying by omission. I'd also point out that her comments about potentially having a procedure in the future is just another tactic to make us think she's being open and honest about everything she's had done. It's like "See?? I'm telling you I WOULD have it done. See how transparent I am??" I've seen that same tactic used SO many times by celebs being interviewed about plastic surgery.
And in Meghan's case I think her talking about wanting a brow lift, was her way of giving us a half truth. Because I believe she DID really want a brow lift. (True statement.) But I also belive she wanted it so much that she already had it done. People generally like to lie as little as possible, and they feel better when they're putting some truth in a statement. And I think that, and the fact that it makes her appear open is why she said what she said. But it's just my opinion. And I have no judgment if shes had more surgeries than she told us.
Megan seems to forget the golden rule: "The Internet is forever!" People are easily able to deduce that she has seriously changed her face. I am tired of celebrities taking the myopic approach of insinuating they have never undergone any cosmetic surgeries when it is glaringly apparent. This current version of Megan Fox is a shadow of the former beauty she once was. For whatever reason, she fell victim to seeking out perfection when it was not needed. What's that saying, "If ain't broke, don't fix it!" Megan was NEVER required to alter that natural, sensuous beauty she once possessed.
When did she ever say before that she didn’t do something? The only thing was from like 2011 when she she posted pics saying she hasn’t done Botox at the time. She’s still mad hot, I don’t like these over the top comments regarding someone before plastic surgery, it always happens.
The Kardashians is known for not admitting any work they have done to their body and face, and known for using filters and photoshopping insane amount of anything online. In my opinion of course.
They lie about filler, too. Only Kylie has come clean about her lips, ten years too late. Oh, and Khloe, one nose job, sure, while it's falling off her face!
They have made hundreds of millions of dollars lying to everyone through surgery and filters. Because honestly 99.999% of the world will never see them in person and don't know how they actually look.
exactly, but now it seems like the new strategy (or at least it has been for khloe and kylie, who have had the most obvious work done) seems to be admitting to one procedure like its all they have done. for example when kylie admitted to the lips, or now the boob job, but then came out saying "I think a big misconception about me is that I have had all these procedures and changed my whole face" which is obviously true and she is still denying it.
Or for example Khloe came out recently admitting to one nose job when 1. she has obviously had multiple nose jobs, and 2. she had ton of other procedures. Which is what lorry is referring to as trickle transparency I think.
But yeah Kim is even denying having fillers like lol.

i don't understand her saying she swapped out her previous breast implants because you could see the edges due to her low body fat, but she intentionally got an even bigger set that looks even more obvious on her body
she likely meant the "ripples" and was probably self-conscious about it. too, it might've been time for her to swap them out due to length of time. i don't really understand going that much bigger either, but to each their own!

There is a lot of body dysmorphia among women about how their vulva looks. I know it’s a very sensitive and maybe a difficult topic for a video but we really need to talk about this. Labia sizes, wrinkles, color changes, hair etc. ❤

That's the thing! I'm sure most of these women who hate how their "down there" looks is not from people saying things about it, but just the societal pressure that women in all aspects of their body need to be "perfect".

exactly yes, I had a similar situation. Maybe if I had funds earlier, like Megan, I would have done it too, but I think that if someone wants to do something, they should grow up with this decision and withdraw from this sick business and think about it later..
I think she gravitated towards the profession because she was desperate to have her looks validated, but even when she was the hot new thing she said she never felt attractive.

I like this one, because I think it is good that you are pointing out how honestly in this interview it is kind of sad how Megan feels like she needs to do things. She was naturally a beautiful women, so it makes me sad that she didn't feel enough like she was.

Thank you, Lorry! You are very intelligent and I fully agree on you with the fact that her attempted humorous comments and hysterical reactions failed to conceal the root of the "issue". Another aspect that rubbed me the wrong way, she goes into details how scared she is of general anaesthesia, all the superstitious aspects, yet still proceeds to go on with these surgeries. Like, it is not a necessity - why then do you choose to do it? Hence, these remarks then appeared a bit of a way how to appear more likeable/less looks-oriented.

Exactly! It's not necessary also boob jobs require maintainance and changing so multiple surgeries why the hell someone so afraid of surgery and have a bad reaction to anesthesia would choose to do this? Seems like her body dismorphia is bigger than her fear of surgeries

Also the eyebrows are new information to me, I though maybe it was an intimate area surgery as well. Thanks for the video, I was expecting it. Trickle transparency is a great phrase, I will use it.
She’s always had a slim curvy figure so that’s not true she was flat. Also things like fillers which she admitted to can be used on your body, so what do you think she didn’t admit to?

I watched this interview as soon as it went up on Spotify and when she said Kylie was transparent I was astounded. How long did Kylie lie about lip fillers and continues to not admit to so many procedures. No I think Lorry's right. You're not referring to a rejuvenation procedure if you're looking intently at someone's face.
I also thought that the gatekept procedure was a vaginal rejuvenation. The only one she’s admit to publicly anyway.
But you think she’s lying off the back of what people say online which isn’t facts, they’re opinions and from what I’ve seen of Lorry, I think she should go into more thorough detail in her videos if she’s accusing people of things. She should use quite a lot of comparisons pics to prove things In her videos and to very fine tuned level, maybe she’s doing that outside the vids but it’s not shown in the vids to prove it.
For Megan for example she thought she had post facelift swelling from 2 examples, not pointing out in the pics where specifically and her face didn’t even look different from what I could see. Also she used one pic from one event to say she’s had a procedure done where her eyes were narrower, way more examples and analysis should be done there so criticism should be put on Lorry for that. People watching will think she’s had these things done when the content didn’t show enough proof at all.
You are so respectful, well spoken and professional. The job you are doing is so important. It can help many people with their self esteem and getting important information. Anyone who comes for you is straight up wrong so please keep doing what you do!

I used to be her biggest fan, and she was clearly a victim of sexism because of her looks. EVERYBODY said she was untalented, but she was actually great in Jennyfer's body and could definitely relaunch her acting career in a post-metoo entertainment industry. Unfortunately, as we have seen with so many women who started acting really young and were exposed to public criticism since childhood, I think she's dealing with too many issues to be able to do that. When you have body dysmorphia and low self-esteem because of everything you've been through, trying to stay relevant because of you're appearance (hence the plastic surgery) or your romantic relationships, it's easier than actually start working on your career again, or even leaving the spotlight and focusing on being a mom, a wife and on your passions or hobbies in private. Because you need to have peace in yourself for that.
I don’t think pursuing more stuff in Hollywood is her passion. She has acting talent but she’s not hugely ambitious in that part of her life, she can pursue more work if she wants but she decides not to.
Jennifer’s Body is so freaking excellent.

As someone who had a brow lift and had dozens of threads over the years I know she’s lying. If you search “can I get a facelift after threads RealSelf” surgeons collectively say that a skilled surgeon shouldn’t have a problem with that and they come across scar tissue all the time and it’s fine. You don’t need to “research a lot” to get those answers.

Lorry, I really appreciate your perspective on her contrived jokes. She made a series of funny comments, but as you said, when heard in such a barrage AND within the context of her body dysmorphia, the joke is lost.
It reminds me of talking to someone struggling with alcoholism or addiction; it's like when they make jokes about how tanked they get, how pissed their bosses always are when they show up to work clearly hungover AGAIN, how yet another boy/girlfriend cant handle them, how others "can't hang," how "you probably hate me right now, huh? Lol..." After a certain point, laughing along starts feeling like enabling. 😔😮💨
Also, I TOTALLY AGREE about celebrities and people calling certain procedures by other names, or grouping them under different umbrellas so they can say that they didn't get certain work done. "I've never had plastic surgery (there's no plastic inserted in a facelift, after all...)." 😏😌

@@jgunner94 i might be totally wrong but the way megan acts in this video reminds me of how i act when i am extremely uncomfortable with the topic discussed or around people i'm talking with. so yes, to a lot of us her jokes come accross as contrived. like to me it seems she is extremely uncomfortable and trying to put up an act so that others won't notice it. she does not always talk like this. watch her interviews about different topics or done with people she likes/feels comfortable around, like diablo cody. she acts totally different in those, much more calm, serious, her facial expressions are different, even her sentence structure. it's quite evident in this interview that she was not in a situation to express herself in an authentic manner.

I’ve seen many interviews of her over the years she and how she made light of certain procedures is definitely in line with how she is, she looked composed and handled herself well so I think that’s some over analysing.

@@LorryHill Having watched all of your videos, it would be fascinating to dig deeper into how society and individuals classify different procedures - for example, in my early 20s I had a 360 tummy tuck/arms after loosing 200 lbs, then in mid 20s post-transitioning, had jaw V-line contouring and "the" surgery, yet because I only have had things removed, I don't think of it as plastic surgery in my head even though it clearly is and I have no issues with it.
It seems like "implants" have the most association with "fake" while breast lifts and cheek lifts still imply to be "natural".
I’m sooooooo glad that you reacted to this podcast, it’s crazy that celebrities think we would believe them yet they’re blatantly lying and only admitting 1 to 2 surgeries and call it day ( first of all you don’t have to admit your surgery it’s private & you can simply not talk about it if it’s uncomfortable for you but to blatantly lie about it and dismissing the Doctor work is insecure & weird)

lorry has a very graceful way of finding the nugget of truth within a lie. it's also heartbreaking that she becomes preoccupied and defensive about this when she's objectively beautiful. as someone who can't afford any procedure, it's almost alien to watch this hyper-obsession about appearance. i support plastic surgery, but there's a point when negative self-perception becomes a dysphoria- and even 100 surgeries wouldn't make that feeling go away. i hope she sees how beautiful she is.. even without nose contour lol.
