@@animeking8275 Thank you for flagging this! I copied and pasted it by accident
This is super helpful, thank you very much!!
Queen is back
I recently started learning Ren'Py , your videos have been really helpful . Lots of takeaway from your videos . Like I didn't even know there's two different jump statement Jump & jump 😅
You basically explained money & shop system , I would appreciate if we could learn how we could add purchased stuff in to our inventory , also in the future videos like ( afternoon , evening & night ) time system , events system etc etc would be greatly appreciated
Yes! My plan is to merge this tutorial with the love UI tutorial and have an inventory system where you can buy something from the shops, have it in an inventory, and then gift it to someone.
I will look into doing a day/night system after this :)
Thank you soo much..
I was looking for adding a shop system in my Game..
It was really helpful and easy to understand..❤
I'm glad it helped! Best of luck with your game 😊
I subscribed to your channel , hope you keep making Ren'Py videos . Thank you very much . Screen language in general is really complex to understand as a beginner
Thank you for subscribing welcome!
Great tutorial as always , my favorite Irish UA-camr 😁 I love all your tutorials , it's super comprehensive & easy to understand even for beginners like me . I truly thank you a million 🌸🌸🌸 you're Amazing .
I've been looking for these shop - inventory system everywhere where you can purchase something & it ends up in your inventory
You have no idea how hard it is to find these contents about Ren'Py , there's literally zero Ren'Py contents & even if there are , they're very complex & hours long consisting of 5 different parts & so much python in it that I can't get my head around that, So I wanna thank you very much for making these tutorials🌸🌸🌸♥️♥️♥️ lots of love
You are so sweet! Thank you so much, I'm glad they are helpful as I understand the struggle as well of creating projects in Renpy when I am a visual learner rather than reading bucket loads of documentation. 😁
Inventory system is next and will put together this system of buying something in a shop, having it show up in an inventory and then being able to gift it to someone. 🥰
@@harmelody242 Wow ❤️ that would be amazing . Thank you very much in advance 🌸🌸🌸 can't wait for it
Very informative 👍
Thank you!
@harmelody, thanks for the tutorial, its been very helpful. ive been wondering if theres a way to use python modules like matplotlib, numpy for graph creation in Renpy, ive tried to import those but failed miserably, do you have any idea how it can be done? also are you working on any games that you plan to publish in the future maybe? looking forward to it
Hello!! I havent used matplotlib or numpy yet in RenPy. What are you trying to achieve with it? There may be another route to your goal :)
I am currently working on a Visual Novel Game, I have a devlog that explains it in my videos. Its almost at a demo stage and I will release another video on it soon! Let me know if you are working on any cool projects as well :)
@@harmelody242 Thanks, I guess I'll have to find some other way to do it. I was trying to create some pie charts for car stats, (yea its a game about street races in Renpy). Good luck with your project :)
Why do we define money instead of default money, isn't it gonna be changing ?
Very helpful tutorial by the way
Yes you are right! It is good practice to use:
define = When a variable wont change
default = when a variable will change
I'm new as well to Renpy and I think its because I never had problems before when I define variables in the start label. But I suppose if you are creating a project that will call init python: at any point, these variables might cause issues? I haven't tested though.
I will update this (info about variables) in the next tutorial about inventory system. Thank you for flagging this!
Hey miss . I really like your video . Can you please make a video about how to select items inside a grid , whether that be a inventory or anything . I want to know to how to achieve " selected " status
Also a video about screen actions in depth , like data actions , tooltip & other screen language videos . I would be really grateful . Please please please 🙏
