Thank you for introducing me to MermaidAqua, when I saw the unboxing and first swim video I decided to get one of hers! I bought the Cotton Candy tail, and I loved it. I had the same problems with the performance the first time I swam with it in the default monofin, it was slow and I had to worm around the pool to get places so the snaps wouldn't come off. The monofin wasn't very nice to swim in on its own, so I replaced it with my own monofin (Finis Aquarius) which (with a few adjustments to keep it from coming off easily) I loved swimming in before, and used super glue on the snaps to keep them tight and, although I haven't tried it in a big pool yet, I can feel a lot of power moving around in the tail, also it looks super pretty in the water. The downside to this is that the monofin is pretty much stuck in the tail (I haven't tried to separate the two yet) but it can also be a good thing so I wouldn't bother getting the vynil insert in and out of the tail. I also probably won't be able to use the monofin by itself anymore T.T I haven't been able to do a tail flip and the tail does flop over when out of the water, but overall it's a really good tail and I love it!
Great to see a good-old-fashioned tail review! SUPERB editing (the time-lapse in terms of putting the vinyl insert inside the tail was a piece of genius). I was surprised that you had so many complaints at that point of the video, given your positive ratings earlier on and the 40/50 rating (and B grade) you wound up giving "Lapis." But I agree with you, there's not much point in getting a tail that just looks good and is practically un-swimmable. To me that's like collecting hockey cards or comic books and then putting them in Mylar bags and never looking at them again. These things are meant to be USED and ENJOYED! Have you tried the waterways mermaid monofin? It’s a freediving monofin and massive so it fills out big flukes well. A pain to get into the tail, but makes a big difference for neoprene tails.
I have not no. I heard from Raina that using bigger sized monofins actually makes the drainage worse when using tails like this as her rapid made it hard to swim in her Cleo
Wayo! Mermaid Melodie here, (yes my mersona is spelt with an i and an e) And I need to know as a younger mermaid, what do I say to kids if they ask if I am real? I have pulled the "if you believe I am real that is all that matters" thing that Courtney brought up before and I was wondering some other decent answers that I can pull on ids of all ages. I have also been looking for a good neoprene tail because I am a Wisconsin mermaid who needs at least a little bit of lower body warmth sense the water is always cold here! I was wondering if the new mertailor fabric tails seem like a good investment for a good looking, good quality, semi realistic fabric tail. I now they can get pretty pricey so I would be perfectly happy If you decided...TO BUY A FIN FUN!
if a child asks me if I am a real mermaid I tell them that mermaids are real. or I avoid it with another question about them like, have you ever seen a moon jellyfish? but normally if the situation isn't to award and they ask if I am real I respond with mermaids are real, not I am real but mermaids in general which avoids the lying thing

Thankyou! I’m looking for my first tail skin and I really love big fluke tails. I also am weird sized and most things don’t fit me properly do it would be nice to have it custom sized. Does anyone know if there are there any other fins that would fit in this tail skin or if there are any other tails like this that fit a mahina?
From my understanding, they are super unreliable they have been taking 1-2 months to give refunds people have not been getting their orders or if they do its 2-3 months late. I ordered from them and they never took my money out after 2 weeks so I just cancelled the order and so far i haven't heard anything, i even emailed them about it if you look at the reviews from the past year or so they are all bad.
I dunno why she just doesn't put any monofin in with the tail and the stupid plastic thing and make them to fit whatever monofin you want like the mahina or the Linden etc. I'm stressing just watching you trying to put the plastic in hahah xx

Good to know about the issues with vinyl inserts. Was not aware of how ineffective and annoying they could be!
Not going to lie. The swim trails one isn't bad once you put the monofin in. It evens out when it gets wet and its comfy

It’s very pretty but I’m like you and I hate those types of ones were you have to do SO much work just to get your tail into the water.
