Well if you can drive in India, you can drive anywhere else in the world! And it's the best place to put a Range Rover to the test! Good video.. Cheers.
Kirtan L There are bad roads everywhere, but the greatest problem for drivers in India's biggest towns is the traffic. It must be said that indian authorities aren't much concerned with traffic jams and accidents.
+Kirtan L actually where I live EVERYONE hates indian drivers. indian drivers can only drive in traffic and not on empty roads, on empty roads they stick on the left lane blocking everyone, they suddenly change lanes without indicating...driving like its a traffic on 20kph while actually going 60-80kph.
Júlio César Braga I am from India and I live in UK ATM and I agree with you but the thing is that if you want to change the rules and make roads safer, it's a big thing for India as it will take a long time
India is a fascinating country. It has a lot of rich and a lot of poor. It has a lot of traditions aswell. India itself doesn't own Jaguar Land Rover. That like saying Laxmi Mittal (Indian Business man) is the richest man in the UK so why are many poor people white. Many cities in the UK have beggars and drunks sleeping on the streets every night...The UK is supposed to be a 1st world country, so how does this go on....explain.
yup, you heard correctly, but then what would you expect of such a large and heavy vehicle. Thing is, in traffic jams that range would be extended because you may never reach 30mph. I have a 6km commute to work in bumper to bumper traffic and I have a feeling it'll be able to complete that journey on electric power alone
Hybrids, including the earlier Prius, could only manage a km as well. This is not a PHEV RR, which came out in 2018 an can travel 50 km in EV mode. The PHEV RR has a 13Kw battery, hybrid only have a Kw or 2.
Awesome vid, and as always awesome commentary by Matt. As for the "drum procession" at the end, it's called Tassa where I'm from. I wonder what it's called in other countries?!
I saw these Rangies on the Eurotunnel when they were starting their trip. It was the weekend of the Belgium GP, for which I was using the Chunnel. Had a chat with a couple of the guys and they seemed really nice. Glad to hear the expedition went well.
To all of you taking a dump out here, let me just burst your bubble your beloved Range Rover, Land Rover & jaguar is now owned by an Indian; Tata Motors. I hope you can live with now !
What does that even mean? He is j saying that most of the Indian roads are full with Holy cows, people and unruly traffic. What he said is 100% true. Take a pinch.
nice video! this is interesting, the best and most capable cars in the world being driven on the worst roads in the world! I guess the only roads which can damage a Range Rover can only be found in India..
the*, not tha: Range Rover*, not rangerover and dam? Ya, a guy who can't even spell the word "The" correctly ask me to learn abc and call me an idiot? seems legit
It's a diesel without the particulate filter seen in much of the West to stop soot pollution. They would have needed them at the start of the journey but must have removed them later, which would have required the engine electronics to be reprogramed.
The worst drivers in the world reside in india. Also you should not have been running 20 or 21" rims and tyres on a cross-continent trek you put 18" rims on with a 275/60/18" all-terrain tyre.
Great journey great vid great cars! Well done guys ! Hybrid system will be seen in any car in near future, electric motor simply replaces the starter motor of the conventional cars and pull the car in city jams, that's it. Much better technology then the stop-start which is useless, so even a mile or 2 on electric it's not too bad.
Jay A M It's the smallest you can get. It's just shitty tires fitted standard on any Range Rover, they should've changed it to All Terrain tires with tougher sidewall
MATT i never knew you were in the expedition crew..!!!! oh damn i so wanted to meet you in person.. i love your car reviews on car buyer n damn u crack the funniest of jokes... check out my instagram clicks of your expedition during your mumbai leg at @kerri_rodrigues
*id rather do the same journey in a gelandewagen, range rover is not what it used to be, it may be comfortable, and large, but it sucks ass, even indians cant make their own car work properly in their own country. TATA should test cars on their roads instead of specially designed test tracks*
in this case is a drag race, and if you previously sow, the f12 bet aventador, is clearly that you are lambo fan, and i'm ferrari fan, we don't have same opinions, so if you want to argue with others don't be so rude and impolite!

KL KL it’s not actually true. I’ve seen people come from India and they can’t drive in us at all. They need to learn again.
@@littletraveller5428 not everyone born as a driver 😝
The photographer took some amazing pictures too, saw them in the magazine, well done to all involved.

Why no Range Rover hybrids in U.S.A.?
Diesel cost so less in india because its subsidized by there Govt . since it is used by public transport , logistics and it pollutes less
ahhh now i know why those cameras were implemented
Hey anybody noticed they are driving left hand side car in india
great video though
British plates in India... wow!

Young Matt!
looks like a great vehicle, but NO way i would drive in India, ARGH.
"3.0L diesel mated to the electric motor;" isn't that meant to be an Ingenium 2.0L petrol??
No, they made another hybrid like a Prius. The petrol one is a plug in hybrid
7 years ago?
I didn't expect matt here..
actually both land rover and Jaguar own Tata
who knew i'd find matt here
'Bullying people out the way' that's what range rover drivers do best
jonny5777 Well, the road presence of it is awfully big so everytime you see a range rover in your rear view mirror you just move over
very true mate, My uncle used to have one and got in a few scrapes for that very reason.
