Which permissions does the Admin profile need for the REST Admin? Fortinet docs tell me a REST Admin need minimal permissions, so I'm not quite comfortable with the super_admin_readonly like the article suggests
I'm looking for a way to see PRTG receiving logs from Fortigate and create Diagrams with users, traffic, sites, etc etc, etc, Is this possible on PRTG ?
Hello superXperience, We currently offer a KB article which can help to setup the desired monitoring here: kb.paessler.com/en/topic/73911-does-prtg-provide-native-sensors-for-fortigate-firewalls If you have further questions, my colleagues from the support team are happy to help (support@paessler.com)
We don't have any tutorial specifically for this type of monitoring, but you might want to have a closer look at the SNMP Traffic sensor which let's you keep an eye on interfaces - www.paessler.com/manuals/prtg/snmp_traffic_sensor
Thanks for posting this. I should mention it only works(for me) when monitoring the internal interface of the firewall. I had my PRTG set to monitor the WAN interfaces and ran into different errors. When I changed the internal interface the errors went away.
Hello Mon Ami, We do not have any native sensors for this vendor, nor are there any official guides. However, it seems that most F5 devices support SNMP, so you can import MIB files into PRTG (using the MIB Importer) and use then the SNMP Library sensor to monitor his devices.
hey there! sounds like something is wrong with the firewall. I talked with our support. They said the need to take a look at your logs to give a reccomendation. You can send them a mail at: support@paessler.com Patrick
Great tutorial! Works like a charm!
It seems to be very simple but very useful, I'm going to try it...

we did a test with less permissions, and it doesn't work. It should be on how it is written in their article.
Hope this helps :-)

Thank you for sharing @markvigil4282
