I got this kit for Christmas this year, and I’m still working on it, but when I did the claws, instead I used a Toothpick that I sanded one end flat and used it as a brush to paint the claws yellow.

I just ordered this one online. Looking at it I feel like a lot of the stickers could have easily been separate parts, and this being my first kit I’m worried about them peeling off.
aiden knapp The stickers could have been separate parts but that would drive the price up, thus defeating the entire point of these kits. Just use some topcoat and they should stay on.
At least Bandai didn't add stickers for the claws.

Gundam barbaros lupus Rex is so hella amazing😍❤️😘
Overall this kit was good for a starter, except in my case the open hand ball joint broke in the socket and I had to remove it sadly, however the parts that drew me to the kit, being the sub arms and the "tail" were throughly great to build except the sticker placement overall 7/10
for me it's a 5/10 bc it loosens after some time and the connection piece between the arm and shoulder is very breakable due to it's big arm, would recommend the lupus more

Most of the parts that require stickers easily could've just been separate parts, I wonder why Bandai decided not to do that instead
well you can't really expect too much for the cheap price points of ibo kits... I don't mind too much as I have the extra buck to get myself paint, however people who don't can't really expect too much for a kit that costs around the $10 mark...

Bael and Graze Ritter were able to have proper color separation mostly from parts and had less than 12 stickers, why not everyone else
@@ryon5174 true, you do have a point ngl... But to me it doesn't really bother me as much since in the end it will be displayed on a shelf.
and you can't really see the stickers or even tell they're stickers without a closer look
@@Deskrib as a viewer it won't bother me, but as the builder we can instantly tell that we may have forgotten or misplaced a sticker here and there
Its not perfect but it still would've been easier if the IBO kits were more consistent than they are
I'm okay with stickers that give the essentials such as eyes and cameras, but to the point where you have stickers to correct inaccuracies (like Kimaris Vidar, those arms are bleh) it just becomes bad
The biggest offenders that I know are Lupus Rex, Gusion Rebake, and Gusion Rebake Full City
Rouei, Vidar, Bael, most of the Graze Variants, and Astaroth Origin get a good pass

Somehow an SD kit is the more definitive version of a Mobile Suit than either version that came out for the series
Bandai did cut a LOT of corners for the hg IBO line kits (probably bcs of its kitbashable design). Most of the stickers can easily be a seperated piece
I think they have learned from there lessons and re made it but sdcs

Beginner question; why use a q tip for the stickers?
The q tip is soft so then when u press on the sticker it can reach all the edges so then it the sticker dont fall off
