I recently bought a switch for christmas. Then i searched for some games to buy and when i heard this song a nostalgia showered over me. As i only played the first one back during the Wii days. Immediately bought no more heroes 1,2,3 and travis strikes back. Truly one of a kind game. A hidden gem! Absolutely in love with this franchise.
I played nmh2 without upgrading my attack or health because i was stupid and didnt realize there qas a gym so i fought jasper for 9 hours trying to figure out how to beat him. Peony came in clutch hahaha. It was only on my second playthrough that i realized i coulda powered up lol

I think this perfectly represents the world of no more heroes. At the beginning of the song, you can hear a rise in song, almost like the beginning of a super heroes theme...until it hits you with the harsh reality that, there are no more heroes. Just travis and his desperate struggle to get to the top.
Also, note that I said there was a rise LIKE a superhero theme, not one to one obviously. Maybe like the beginning of a more dante-ish kind of protag's theme, being against the norm and what not.
Yea the begining is pretty optimistic, low pitched until the "cold water"= engine thromping begins for a few seconds, reminding of what truly is happening, grounding the song until it loops, just like what Travis does, an endless loop of murder and struggle.

You shouldn’t have to grind that much unless you’re tryna get like tsubaki mk 3 I think? And if you wanna buy all the clothes. The loop is you do the odd job (like coconut collecting) then you do the assassination mission then you do the main mission to move up a rank. (Also you’ll probs have a nice cushion on your next play through, I was able to skip all the side stuff my second time)

Beat 1 & 2 on switch a while back. Felt so good to hear this play in the final venue in NMH2 before the final boss, even if the boss took me a few tries before I actually knew what i was supposed to do.

However, there are good ways to make a disappointing final boss Dark Souls 1 spoilers: Gwyn, during all the game they tell you he is a magnificent figure, that he was the hand that brought light to the world, that he was practically a god. But then you reach the end of the game, you cross the fog gate, he's there, instead of an epic soundtrack for the final encounter you receive a sad piano piece. You read the name above the healthbar: Gwyn, Lord of Cinder. The all powerful figure you painted in your head is nothing now, just as mindless and hollow as the rest of enemies in the game. It's disappointing, it's underwhelming and it's all well done.

I nevee had the Wii but this game did get ported on the ps3 and I loved it to bits. So much that I deleted my game save just so I could start from scratch. I needed to because I had missed the first wrestling technique before fighting death metal.

@@aqowamancows8213 In Udertale 2 there is a "Relaxation room" where you fight bunch of bosses and one of them is this guy with this theme remade using Wario Ware music maker. It's how I got to know this theme and this character.
