I legitimately have not been this excited for something in years. I'm 31 now, so the last time one of these came out I was in college. Just an unreal feeling. I can't overstate just how much sheer time is gonna be put into playing this lol

being someone who loved playing ncaa 14 but never got into recruiting I have to say this video helped me a lot in understanding how everything works, now It doesn't feel as daunting as it used to be, thanks for taking the time to explain and show most of if not all the features that come with recruiting!

This game looks awesome...but getting a 5 star QB as a 1 star school after seeing the devs talk about how difficult it'll be to recruit as a low star school is so funny😂
This was also the beta, and I think NTE was using the 5 stars to really show everything we gotta do to even attempt to get one. More thought process to get one compared to 14

Deion did it with travis hunter at jackson state, who was the #1 recruit in the country. Jackson state is barely subdivision. Deion is a great recruiter, and this guys coach excels at recruiting. His 5 star wasnt even the #1 recruit in the country. So yeah, its possible.

Very glad to see you using this team and building it out. I've seen all big school builds and to me that's not really a challenge to build Miami or Nebraska back to a powerhouse school
THIS IS BEAUTIFUL! Already pre-ordered my MVP Bundle of College Football 25 and can't wait to play Dynasty Mode, as well as trying out the Teambuilder. So glad they made the game available in Thailand 🇹🇭

@@jameswightman6347Travis Hunter being a big one. As well as some older situations like Daunte Culpeper back in the day but it definitely shouldn't be a common situation. Seems like an AI issue where the bigger schools were ignoring them. Hopefully it's tuned better for release or shortly after
I’m from the UK so have zero knowledge of how college football works or what redshirts are or the whole recruiting works but love the idea of playing this game. Thank you to this video for giving me something to learn from to at least make more sense to me now than before.
Redshirts stay at the same grade for an extra year, but at the expense of only being able to play 4 games that year. It should only be used in freshmen and sophomores you want to develop but not as a starter just yet

In CFBR we've played through 17 seasons with UTSA and 23 seasons with New Mexico. It's safe to say we'll be hitting that 30 year max in a dynasty. Lol

@@kahledalbert1210 my wife went camping with the kids and in-laws 3 weeks ago. While she was away (I had to work) I went out and bought a PS5 and preordered the game. I’m on house arrest, parole, no fly lists, in the dog house, FBI most wanted, but IDGAF! Totally worth the trouble. I’m so damn happy I could cry.
NCAA 06 and NCAA 14 are in my top 5 all time games ever played. It’s so surreal seeing this revived 😊

That seemed WAY to easy to rebuild. Perhaps it’s a low difficulty but still he was able to recruits multiple 4 to 5 star players within the first year and was winning almost right away. I sure hope the experience isn’t that shallow.
He also maxed out everything for recruiting. Reminds me or deion sanders. You could pick a different archetype for you coach to make it more difficult

I actually dont really mind him landing some good recruits at a 1 star school because it cost him his entire recruiting budget and made his class extremely small. What I do have a problem with though is the elite prospects in the top 100 players not getting any interest at all making them essentially free commits... this is completely unrealistic and shouldnt be possible. If a player is in the top 25 at their position they should have a minimum of 5 respectable suitors no matter what.
Is it a problem with 3500 prospects then? That the AI finds someone else that's closer to home or matches their schools grades better that they don't even look at the dudes that's ranked top 25?
I just assumed there would always be some 'low lock cheese' strats.
@@Cipher_8 yeah sure I think its totally fine for good players to sneak through the cracks and stay close to home especially in less prominent states, but even still those guys virtually always go to an instate power not the smallest school with a football program. For example last year of the top 400 recruits only 1 went to a non-power5/ND. I actually dont think this is an issue though anymore bc in online dynasty it will be impossible for this to happen since everyone will be fighting for all the best recruits and in offline its up to the player to decide if they want to play the game realistically or not.

@SuperMikeDitka ya like if I'm a bigger school I imagine part of the challenge to recruiting doesn't become getting the best talent but talent that fits your school so things like Deal-breakers become important to finding recruits that you can keep happy even if they are slightly less talented cuz who cares if it's a top 25 at the position if they will just transfer portal out after a few seasons cuz they're stuck behind starters (because bigger schools will have better players ahead of them most likely where small schools they'd start day 1.)

Dude, a couple years ago, I worked just down the street from KSU's stadium, and I am kinda blown away with how well they recreated it here. the Extended Stay behind the endzone, the student housing building across the street, the Children's Hospital. Right down to the angle of the sun feels right.
Not being able to change recruits jersey numbers is actually a terrible thing to have and it’s gonna ruin the immersion when my quarterback gets number 19 like a weirdo

This video got me so hyped. This is the first game that has me ready to get a current-gen console. I'm not even a big football fan and I will pick this game up even though I don't currently have a console to play it on. I mainly play on PC. This reminds me of how much fun I had building a dynasty in the College Hoops games back in the day. EA really needs to bring us an NCAA Basketball game now that they have the blueprint. I would even like to see San Diego Studios do a college baseball game so we'll have a college game for the big three sports like we did in the PS2 era.
Dang not changing a number would be tough but oh well! I’m ready for this game
I am really excited. However, the statistical issues worry me a bit. For example, only a handful of players ran for over 1,000 yards. In real life, 45 players surpassed 1,000 rushing yards. Not to mention, 15 players achieved 10+ sacks last year, and in this video, nobody did. I know it's just from the beta, but I hope this is fixed and stats can be more realistic. I want to relive the old Wisconsin days and have nearly three players hit 1,000 rushing yards or go over 2,000 with one, but I don't know if that will be the case.

Yup, jumped out to me as well. Also every team had 2-3 losses. Some concerning things jumped out in this video between the sim engine and the recruiting engine

It looks really damn good... but I seriously hope that recruiting isn't that easy to where you just find overlooked recruits and lock-out cheese them. Just feel like landing a five-star at Kennesaw State in year 1 is too easy for the difficulty the developers advertised early on.
EDIT: I see now that he only had 6 commits by the end of the class and that most of the additional talent were transfers by the end. Missed it the first time around.

This video just makes me more and more excited for this game I honestly don't remember the last time I was so excited about anything
I'm a little bummed that the recruiting still seems very unrealistic. Regardless of how many hours you spend, Kennesaw state isn't getting a 5 star in real life. I see nothing in the video that suggests the game is being played on "Easy", so I'm a little worried. I also don't care that he sacrificed a recruiting class for it. Landing two 4 stars and a 5 star is enough to propel you up into actually contending for a full recruiting class of those players the following season. Hopefully they make it harder.

@38657 yeah, but if you had to pick which of the 14 school grades would make the impossible an "almost impossible" statement? Proximity to home was probably the most lucky roll to get for that kid.
@@38657 and it took every single recruiting hour he had to get him. It was one season of dynasty we seen. The RNG just fell in his favor but he could also not get another one for many more rebuilds. Being in Georgia helps I’d say as well. If you’re in a worse state I’d say that affects it as well
Only thing that is concerning and I am hoping that it is just because this is a beta build of the game. He picked the recruiting tree, but at the end of the year he got all those massive overall jumps for his players. Which made his team jump up to a 81 overall in just 1 year. That is the same overall as some power 4 schools. He didn't have to pick the motivator tree to get those overalls to jump that high. it seems like it happened to quick and easy to be on same overall as some power 4 schools in just one simmed season. Adding on landing a 5 star QB along those 4 star players.
i love how they did the faces in this game, usually you’d see like 6 players with the exact same player model and face but it looks like there’s a huge pool of player faces

Probably was just locked for this version of the beta he played. I would imagine they will give us more customization for players since they hyped that up a lot. Destiny beta had things locked down like this as well back in the day.
