According to J-Dog, the idea for this song came about during a recording session where the band went to a nearby 7-11 to get drinks (they bought a bunch of Big Gulps and filled them with orange juice and champagne, basically creating a cheap mimosa). They then got super drunk off of their "mimosas", and Johnny said "I think I've lost my mind", so they started writing a song based around that.
I remember that this was the second single they released for the album with the tv countdown thing and I was so fucking hyped about this song. I guess because it was the first one to really launch the album, but I was so crazed happy about this.
