    I have these tires and they’re awesome. It is quieter than the OEM. The range is about the same.

    What's the efficiency rate you're getting on these? I have 19 in wheels on my model 3 and I have worn through my Falken Azenis 4K460s for about 20K which got me about 265 Wh/m. I am hoping these are far more efficient even with my heavy foot.

    Would like to ask how quiet the car is after the replacement? If you have t measured it maybe you could give a relative description in comparison to other cars?
    Thanks

    Even if the tread is the same all around, it is still a good idea to swap fronts for rears due to the extra stress put on the fronts…

    • @machaf
      @machaf Місяць тому

      What extra stress? Where do you people come up with this garbage.

    • @CupidinColorado
      @CupidinColorado Місяць тому +1

      Well ma’am, rotating the front wheels of a vehicle compared to the rear wheels is primarily done to ensure even tire wear and extend the life of the tires. Here’s why-
      1. Driving Forces
      • On front-wheel-drive vehicles, the front tires handle both steering and power transmission, leading to faster wear.
      • On rear-wheel-drive or all-wheel-drive vehicles, the driving forces are distributed differently, but the front tires still handle steering and braking.
      3. Steering Stress
      • The front tires experience additional wear because they are used for turning, which places uneven forces on the tread compared to rear tires that follow the direction of the front wheels.
      4. Braking
      • During braking, weight shifts to the front of the vehicle, increasing pressure on the front tires and accelerating their wear.
      Benefits of Rotating Tires:
      • Rotating tires ensures that all tires wear evenly, improving handling and safety.
      • It extends the overall life of the tire set, reducing the frequency and cost of replacement.
      • It helps maintain consistent tread depth, which is important for traction and fuel efficiency.
      When Should You Rotate Tires?
      Typically, tires should be rotated every 5,000 to 8,000 miles, or as recommended by the vehicle manufacturer. The rotation pattern (e.g., front-to-back, cross-pattern) will depend on the vehicle’s drivetrain and the type of tires.
      Let me know if you still have questions…..😎

      @@CupidinColorado Nice copy and paste job.. Glad to see you can use google....sheeple....Anyways. He clearly stated he has no increased wear on front vs rear after 16000 miles, so everything you said is incorrect. Furthermore, Elon talks about why you don't need to rotate tires on a Tesla...I'm sure you can find it. And furthermore, if you had any clue what you were talking about you'd know most cars (RWD) the rears wear faster and thus rotated to the front; not becuz if your made up steering and braking stresses.

    • @CupidinColorado
      @CupidinColorado Місяць тому +1

      Personally, my front Model Y Performance tires have always worn out faster than the rear ones- This ‘scientific’ answer came from Chat gpt actually… all good though my motoring friend and a blessed 2025 to you as well!

      I don't have a db meter, but it does seem to be quieter, and the most noticeable thing was the smoothness when driving over small potholes or bumps/cracks on the road. The true question is would I buy them again, yes for sure. thanks for watching

    Great Video. I'm buying a used 2022 Model 3 Long Range like yours which I'll pickup on 24-10-15. I need some all seasons as they come with brand new winters. I was thinking of buying the Hankook Ion EVO AS too. 2 questions:
    1) I know you are at 8/32 on 16000 miles but do you know what was the tread depth when you first got them brand new?
    2) Also any idea what you spent in CAD? I'm in Toronto and I found someone selling for $1050+tx for 4 tires. Just wondering if that's a good deal or if I should just use the winters I have now and wait till spring if there's likelihood of better deals then. Thanks

      Yes, I did declare them. We were in the US for a week, and when we returned, we got lucky, and the guy just said go ahead, have a good day. I bought tires in the past and returned the same day and had to pay. Can't remember the exact amount, but it was too much.

    Thanks for the review! I am sold on the Ions BUT they come in so few sizes . . . only 1 in 18" and not in my size (Ioniq 6). The ION AS SUV has 2 sizes but again not in mine. Too bad. The Hankook Ventus S2 AS were stock on my car and are ok but they wear fast (35,000 km).

    Discount tire employees are minimum wage and don’t actually know about maintenance. You definitely should be rotating tires every 5-7k miles.
