The bit with trying to study while the roommate has a bunch of noisy friends over is so relatable. That was literally me throughout the first three years in college. Like one time I was on a Zoom call and my roommate and his friend were being loud in the living room. I had my microphone off, but I figured the professor was going to have me speak up eventually if she asked me to answer a question and I didn't want my microphone to be on when the guys were shouting, especially with yelling inappropriate stuff. I yelled at them to keep it down since I was on a Zoom call and they apologized, but then they just got louder and crazier after that. I literally didn't hear one word from my professor because of how loud they were. And I even had my headphones on.
