Hi Jennifer! Thank you for your efforts! Phase in and block off were new phrasal verbs to me. I got 10/10 on the quiz. Here are some example sentences: 1) You are late! It's about time you showed up! 2) I have left my tax-free shopping behind by accident. 3) I can't bear freezing and windy weather, to put it mildly. I can definitely do without it! 4) I try to block off 1 hour a day for my English studies. 5) He saw the writing on the wall and then all that sank in. If he didn't change his way of living he wouldn't have many years to live. 6) The restaurant was emptied because of a bomb threat. Patrons were cleared out. 7) The CEO was forced out because the company was about to go belly-up. 8) The tycoon bailed out his son-in-law who was accused of cooking the books. 9) Let's go see that very good movie. We shouldn't miss that out! 10) New stricter environmental laws will be phased in. The transition period is 2 years.

Nice video! I agree that phrasal verbs are a great way to increase your vocabulary. I think learning phrasal verbs in sentences make it much easier to remember the meaning because they can be quite confusing if you just look at the words.
Really great and useful phrasal verbs teacher J. I have a question as to the structure of this sentence using one of the phrasal verbs as a example: The Acountng Dept. is phasing a new system in(to) the company in order to speed up the process. Greetings from Brazil. Tks a a lot!
Thank you very much our great teacher I am a new member of your website and I would like to ask you a favor could you please provide us a list of the verbs that take ING after To. this question came to my mind from your introduction when you say (This channel is dedicated to helping .......).and this is the first time I have ever heard.
1-Show up , 2-left behind , 3- do without , 4- block off , 5-sink in , 6-clear out , 7- force out 8- bail out 9- miss out 10- phase in These are my answers honestly and I hope they are correct Great thanks Ms Jennifer your are a great teacher 👩🏫

Great explanation Jennifer. I don't know what really happened, but it could have been one of them, like this. Nobody couldn't bail out the company "Nokia", because I never heard again about it. Always waiting for your lessons, I'll see you soon.
Hi, your videos are useful for me. I usually watch repeatedly them once having free time. It completely helped me improve my English. But could you explain the difference between Noun's Noun and Noun of Noun? I don't know what situation I should use one of them. Thank you
Noun of noun is not that common in English, but is common in lots of asian languages. We often use a noun as an adjective to tell the listener what kind of thing the main noun is. For example, a ticket for a train is called a train ticket. A book of text is called a text book. A report on a project is a project report. I hope this helps!
thank you jennifer very much i want you to make me a video about how can we retain new english words and phrases -(please) i love you so much my best teacher!
Hello Jennifer! I'm always glad to see you! Thanks a lot for your lesson and quiz! My score is 6- out of 10. I suppose I should sink in English more. It takes me some time to realize how these words are used in sentences correctly. Thus I'm going to rewatch this lesson several times.
Thank you, great movie, I learnt a lot, I always used carve out (block off) or blow it (miss out). The notion of phase-in regions exists in the regional economics and means lagging areas. Have a nice weekend🙂
Hi Jennifer again :) Ok some example of my life ... I had to do a project without an assistant, She was forced out (kick out) her position after budget issue. The company did not get by. .We had series of meeting and blocked off our calendars for getting through and the boost sales helped to bail out...Finally, the team celebrated our success.. we showed up to the bar early and we spotted, it was at 3 am, the place was cleaned out and I left behind my jacket.... Finally, then our area phased in a new guide because our colleagues had to sink in it.. Thanks again Jennifer 9/10
I have created a story including all the phrasal verbs you have touched upon in this video. Please review and correct me in case of any grammatical mistake: All the employees had to block off all day for an important meeting. In the meeting the boss talked about phasing in some strict rules and an employee was forced out for showing up late. The boss clearly mentioned that the company can't do without disciplined employees. The shocking news took some time to sink in, as he had been forced out of the job he had dreamt of since his childhood. While leaving, he had to leave behind his position, the badge and the pen that he had been given by the company. He was financially unstable and had nobody to bail him out. He happened to meet his boss at an event. He decided to apologize to him but fire broke out at the venue and everyone cleared out of the hall. He clearly missed out on getting the job again.
Thank you for this great vocabulary lesson! However, I have a question: Is it possible to use the present perfect form “has cleared out” instead of the simple present form “clears out” in sentence number six? I would appreciate a lot your help! Kind regards, Anna

OK so how about this? Appraisal, Assessment, and Evaluation, verification and validation. If you were to look at these terms from a programmatic standpoint in order to answer what these terms mean relative to each other AND where maybe you’d use a process flow diagram to explain. For example create a series of block processes named A through D where maybe smaller multiple block processes (A.1, A.2, A.3,…) are subsets of a larger block process A, which ultimately feed to block process B and so on. Can you do that please? I’d love to pick your brain about these things. Thanks for you bring.

I will come to the wedding earlier
I will come to the school late
I will come to the school later

As adverbs the difference between later and late
is that later is (late) while late is after a deadline has passed, past a designated time.
Early as adverb means before the usual or expected time; earlier means before the present time or before the time one is referring to.
