I think a lot of us (speaking for myself here too) get sucked into creating what the algorithm wants, what you think other people want ... we need space to be artists, to be able to create. Having a disconnect between the two will surely only help make you create more fulfilling art that you'll enjoy for years to come ... not what ever is hot right now.
