I havent had issue with my drive yet but i heard the issue were cause from it not being formatted or using the software that inside the drive to make sure it works properly
It in the ntfs format and I had this issue across my phone and my PC
did you actually make sure it's not just bad sectors that you caused? bc if so then you could always run chkdsk /r on that drive and it might just fix it, you should give it a try!

Can you open up the case and connect the SSD directly inside your computer? (E.g. SATA/m2/etc. interface)
That would be useful for troubleshooting, otherwise I would just buy a regular SSD and an external case to put it in to make it portable.
This SSD is external. I am not sure why, but after running a few tests, it seemed to be working fine. It just occasionally freezes and then starts working again after ten minutes.
I never buy Sandisk or segaye products because of the high risk of data loss with those brands. I trust Samsung or western digital
I had a Western Digital HDD for a very long time. Good quality products.
