Toller Video-Ansatz! Also holt euch alle noch schnell eins!
I've heard people refer to the "Strymon sheen", and I feel there's some truth to that. I don't know if it's the buffer or algorithm choice, but most Strymon pedals sound like an idealised 80s rack version rather than broken 70s equipment. It's too clean, at least for those of us looking for actual broken 70s sounds. They have great hardware, decent algorithms and especially fantastic MIDI implementations in their most recent pedals (looking at you, UAFX!), but it's not broken analogue 70s equipment. Perhaps UAFX pedals get closer to the raw sounds sometimes, but then you've got to miss MIDI and expression pedal input, and are stuck into UA's customer unfriendly ecosystem registration system and need an account to control a guitar pedal. I wonder if Strymon, UA or perhaps Walrus are going to come out with an all in one modeller or effects unit.
Thanks Mike as we have v1 but have a offer on Reverb now for V2 $269.99 what’s your thoughts as we won’t use secondary knob … also are well versed in dig and el cap ? V1 / v2
@@MadebyMiike by the way: one of the best pedal reviews ever ( I also don't like effects, that alter the warmth and the characteristics of the guitar - and I hate it, when the effect is in the way of the guitar tone : )
for future videos you have to play staccato when demoing a reverb pedal so we can hear the reverb decay
Thanks for the tip!
Great comparison. I totally agree, V1 is less overpowering and "sits back" more than V2, which I also prefer. Thanks!✌
adding the jfet has added harmonics
I guess this is exactly the main reason to sound different
I like the V2. It sounds more natural on youtube. I would have to be in person to really get the full idea.
More natural sounds flint V1, great review!
That Blade Runner part on guitar, nice!

Hallo! Im FX Loop!

V1 sounds more "transparent". V2 is definitively doing something to the eq of the guitar. The DiG V2 does the same.
Might want to check that pre-delay. Might not be zero on V1, and that could easily be the difference between the verb laying behind the guitar or not.
Is there actually a way to change the pre-delay on the V1? As far as I am aware there isn't.
V1 you can hear the lower strings clearly , more transparent ….i think
I have V1 is it worth buying the V2 in your opinion? We don’t use midi. How much difference does Jfet make?
If you don't use midi I see no reason to upgrade. V1 sounds better imho.

Is the V2 Spring reverb (60s) any drippier?
Nope...shame.
I have a V1 and I'll never part with it
the v1 its much better sound more real reverb than the v2, just look the final eco end in each sound
thanks, nice investigation :)
I actually prefer the v2 especially the harmonic tremolo.
Have version 1 and the min trem speed is much too fast. Even the v2 is still too fast on min setting
V1 for the win : )
Well, i bought v1 ^^
is tremolo analog or a/d/a processed?
This pedal is 100% digital
You are absolutely wright the V1 sounds more natural to me. The V2 sounds more digital.
the old one is more "charming" IMHO
I agree!

Vangelis :)
Be careful when you pronounce the word "Dig"...
Quite percussive
😂😂
