It took a minute for my tears to stop after I read this so I could answer, what a beautiful thing to say.I have peace in my life after a Divorce (46yrs) happened in 2014. I'm 71 now and NEVER thought I would EVER think of another woman but there is a woman in Church named Valerie,(60) she is DROP DEAD GORGES she lost he husband 11/2 yrs ago, she is best friends with my best friends girl friend, from 8th grade .They say she's not ready to meet anyone yet, so I haven't pressed it, but I'm afraid if I don't tell her how I feel , when she is ready I'll have missed my chance to get to know her. It's been 50yrs sense I've asked anyone out, "I've LOST ALOT OF MY MOJO" Go grief I'm 71 and I feel like I'm back in the 5th grade asking Roseann Tilyou to go steady. I need to get some "CAHOONA'S" AND MAKE THIS HAPPEN!!! Life is a lot like a roll of toilet paper ,in the beginning it goes slow but a the end of the roll it goes a lot faster!!! PS: I tried to talk to her once ,when I opened my mouth it was only to change FEET!!! THANKS for Listening (Hope she comes to Church Sunday (you know the RONA Virus) --- (Kinda feels like I'm writing to Rona Bearett in the News paper the title would be"LOVE SICK OLD GUY" only the older folks know who I'm talking about) LOVE YOU ALL GOD BLESS
Our anthem. When I met my husband this song spoke to us. I remember dancing in his dining room. I can still feel the moment vividly. Ours was a passion of two souls finding each other and having 10 beautiful years together before he died 11/15/17. Music gives the gift of memory. Thank God.
Thank you all for your love and understanding. Toby, I’m so sorry for your loss. Thank you for sharing. I am grateful and honored to have known that kind of love and it comforts me to know that you know exactly what I’m talking about. Thank you.
I’m so sorry for your loss. This song reminds me of a man I loved too that passed in 2020. He introduced me to Amos Lee and we used to listen to this album together all the time. 😢
This song reminds me of my beautiful mother. She was loving, caring and made everything at ease. Coming home to her was the best feeling ever. She was diagnosed with Gastric ademo carcinoma in March 2016 and died March 2017. Every time I hear this song brings me back home. 🙏❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
You know it’s amazing to me that when I listened to this song this morning it brought me to my mother also. She has passed June 2017 but it brought me to a better understanding of her as an 18 girl having me in a town far away from her home with her new husband and she was homesick so she called her Dad to bring us to her birthplace community her home when I was 6 months old . I am 67 and I felt her homesickness today . Beautiful beautiful voice and song .
Your love will have made her life so very happy. I am Mum to a boy and girl, now adult , but can atest to the fact that the bond between mother and son is unfathomably beautiful. She will have been so fucking (pardon me) proud of you x
When I was little, my dad would play this album on the big stereo in the dining room. I thought this song was saying “I am Maddie” (my name) instead of “I am at ease” and so I ran around singing it at top volume, convinced that it was my song.
Lost my dad in 2016, had a seizure in 2019 and lost my momma to cancer this summer..... This song definitely hits home and my wife will never know how much she keeps me grounded and brings me home in my mind!
I 1st saw him.when he opened for Norah Jones - we liked him so much! Felt like that was the concert we paid for! Kept our eyes open for his 1st album to be released!
I had to come all the way from Louisiana to Oregon and pick up my 25 yr old baby girls remains today. As I'm waiting to go pick them up this morning, breaking, I heard this song. I know it was from her. Wow. ❤😢

I used to play this for ONE STRAIGHT MONTH while I was halfway across the world from my lovely dream woman. Woke up, played this song. Pulled out her photos, listened to this. Smoked a cigarette on the porch, listened to this. Long train ride, this is playing. Can't sleep at night, play this, then I slept like a child. Brings back so much love and memories to hear it again...

Oh my God… This is the most romantic song I have ever heard in my whole entire life… And I love music I love, romantic music, and all kinds of music. This is wow just wow.❤❤❤
We played this song at our wedding. My bridesmaids walked down this aisle to it. My husband is a high school shooting survivor and is guarded emotionally and suffers from PTSD. This song describes us perfectly.

Oh my! Amos Lee has an amazing voice, one of a kind, especially when it comes to his tone and his ability to express what each word from the lyrics of this song means with ease and comfort. Gee, what a beautiful "octave chest voice" at the end of Arms of a Woman. Talent. Talent is what Amos possess. May the universe be both fair to his voice as he captivates audiences moving forward. G-d bless!
I introduced my wife to Amos' songs when we first started dating over 13 years ago. This week will be our 11th wedding anniversary and after seeing Amos at least five or six times in concert this song is always my favorite to sing.
Not a clue who Amos Lee was before hearing this just now and Oh my! just the first words had me rapt & in tears by line's end, a fan for life before going into the 1st refrain & absolutely breathless at the last. ...MAGIC
My musician friend's fb post brought me here. Wow... Why have I never heard Amos Lee before.... This is my kinda song. Can't believe some people dislike this song. I'm a get my whisky out, watch the stars n feel the peace.
I am at ease In the arms of a woman Although now most of my days are spent alone A thousand miles from the place I was born When she wakes me She takes me back home Now most days I spend like a child Who's afraid of ghosts in the night I know there ain't nothing out there But I'm still afraid to turn on the light I am at ease In the arms of a woman Although now most of my days are spent alone A thousand miles from the place I was born When she wakes me She takes me back home I am at ease In the arms of a woman Although now most of my days are spent alone A thousand miles from the place I was born When she wakes me She takes me Yeah when she wakes me She takes me Yeah when she wakes me She takes me back home When she wakes me She takes me back home
I fell in love with Amos Lee when I first heard this song. I got a free DVD with all different artists on it. I heard this and could not stop listening, went out and bought his first DVD. Saw him live at the Majestic Theatre a few years ago and it was incredible. His band was genius. I cried with tears rolling down my face. Has not happened to me on that level except with very few artists. He does have the voice of an angel as someone commented. Yes.
Amos I was looking for something then I come to a song of yours. I never heard of you before. You have a great soul voice and I will keep listening to your songs. Thank You and your band.
Getipt door ene Rob Stenders(radio2 nu) en sindsdien verliefd op dit nummer.. Echt een soul plaat die zo maar uit 1955 of zo kon komen.. Briljant..Thnx Rob!

I love all of his songs. Arms of a woman is my favorite. It is the first one I listened to. It is the one I listen to the most often. The sound of Amos Lee's voice make me happy, in a sentimental way. like I 'am a child again with a childish positivism. Human talent when is best.
Oh my God… This is the most romantic song I have ever heard in my whole entire life… And I love music I love, romantic music, and all kinds of music. This is wow just wow.❤❤❤

One of the most talented. Had the pleasure of seeing him live years ago when he was starting out. Thanks Amos and love to all 💜
A masterpiece of a song.
Top 3 on my bucket list...see Amos Lee in concert!!!
This video reminds my of my Brother who died in 2019, who built a bowling alley/sports bar. He worked his ass off.. 16 hours days.
😢

It's amazing the places this song can take you. So calming or maybe enchanting. Love Amos lee!!
I am at ease
In the arms of a woman
Although now most of my days are spent alone
A thousand miles from the place I was born
When she wakes me
She takes me back home
Now most days
I spend like a child
Who's afraid of ghosts in the night
I know there ain't nothing out there
But I'm still afraid to turn on the light
I am at ease
In the arms of a woman
Although now most of my days are spent alone
A thousand miles from the place I was born
When she wakes me
She takes me back home
I am at ease
In the arms of a woman
Although now most of my days are spent alone
A thousand miles from the place I was born
When she wakes me
She takes me
Yeah when she wakes me
She takes me
Yeah when she wakes me
She takes me back home
When she wakes me
She takes me back home
Thank u for the lyrics
OMG..I LOVE THE PLACE THAT HE TAKES ME, BEAUTIFUL TEXTURES AND TONES OF #SOULFULNESS
This is some loving your lady with candles burning music. Thanks Amos. Appreciate you getting me some.

Amos Lee is a very soulful singer. He puts his heart is every song he sings. I never knew who he was until a someone very special to me shared his music with me. I became hooked. I love all of his songs. Arms of a woman is my favorite. It is the first one I listened to. It is the one I listen to the most often. It reminds me of my wonderful someone that is no longer with us because he lost his battle with cancer. I know he is still enjoying Amos Lee songs in heaven though. Amos Lee, you keep on singing those awesome songs. Thank you so much.
I'm not sure who this person is but I am so glad I stumbled on this video. I have chills. What kind of witch craft is this?? Wow
