We taught our son to pick up his toys from a very young age, and it became a habit. I taught him how to sort his toys too, and when other kids came over to play, I told them that they must pick up the toys when they stopped playing. This teaches responsibility and how to organize and is very helpful in school and in life in general.

It is important to respect the work that goes into hosting, before, after and during visits. It’s good that you are filming the cleanup because that makes the work visible. It is a reality that goes with sharing your space, time and energy with others.
i have no doubt your guests feel such a sense of calm and peace when they are in your home. That kind of respite is such a gift and blessing.

I will pray for you. I hope your treatments go well. My brother was diagnosed with esophageal cancer several years ago. Treatment was not easy, but he is doing quite well so far. Cancer is very scary, but treatments are improving all the time! Hang in there!
When I was a college student in another country with limited funds, it was such a blessing when people invited me to stay in their homes. It meant so much to me. They were earthly messengers of God's love. I am sure many of your visitors feel the same! Thank you so much!
Although I admire your hospitality and it’s wonderful to hear that Tolya gives you some time to yourself when you need it…you sound positively exhausted, it’s too much on your plate as is, new mother, two very small children, renovating your house and hosting soooo many people. Put yourselves first for a little while, it will get better when your home is finished and you can move in and relax but nobody would think less of you if some friends stay at an airBnB instead of your place once in a while, you’re doing so much for others already. Take care of yourselves and stay healthy.

You & your husband are so very kind to host so many people. I hope they do contribute to your grocery bill! Just a suggestion that my daughter used when my grandkids were small. Move some of the toys into your bedroom closet or anywhere the kids can't reach! Just exchange when the kids tire of the toys they are playing with. Grammy from Texas in the USA

I am the same, for me i need clean organised and minimal home. So when i don't have it it is very stressful and makes me feel claustrophobic so having a clean and neat and simple home with good systems in place that is also beautiful and calm to be in , makes me very relaxed and happy so my me time is also making my environment one i can be content in the day to day so even small daily things are fufilling and not chores.
I love the saying "make a life you don't need a vacation from."
This is how i feel. My home should be my haven and my family my favourite people.

Just found your channel. I’m finding great encouragement!! Yes, as Christians, we are called to be hospitable in general, but I agree with you that in the New Testament Scriptures hospitality is mentioned in one of the lists of certain divine gifts. I believe that opening up your home continually as you are doing necessitates that gift from our Heavenly Father God. Obviously, Not having this gift doesn’t mean we aren’t to be hospitable, just not to the same level as the person who was graciously given this important gift. It’s the same as with any other gift God grants an individual, such as teaching or evangelism. We will all teach and evangelize but not to the same level as those HE has specifically chosen for that task with HIS gift to accomplish it. I pray for strength and mental peace for you today in this extra busy hospitality season. Thank you for your words of wisdom and encouragement. ❤

Maybe you should give them one game or puzzle at a time and then, if they want a different toy, get them in the habit of cleaning up the other one first? That's something I didn't do, when I had the chance, and I think I should have. Of course, if the kids are too young that will be hard. Cute 🐈.
My friends trained their kids that way when they were little. They had such a tiny apartment that they really had to do it like that. It was a huge help!
