To reiterate what was said in a another comment, this is a form combining Tai Chi, Baguazhang, and QiGong performed by obviously one of the best of the best
This form appears to be mainly Tai Chi but also has elements of Baguazhang and Hsing-I. The circle walking was obvious and there was also some wood element, at the very least, from Hsing-I...thanks for posting this elegant, powerful set.
@@johnljohnson3106 The three treasures are Shen Qi and Jing. This is one of the original Taiji forms probably developed from one of Zhang san fengs original three students. The reason it has elements of Taiji Bagua and Xingyi is because all of these elements come from the same source: Wuji
(part 2) this form is about 7 minutes and u can finsish this form back to the palce where u first started, u are pretty powerful because many people that do there forms cannot finsish to the place where they first started from. this is very good
This is the integration of Bagua and Xingyi is what gives Taiji Quan the reputation of being called The Supreme Ultimate Fist or Great Extremes Boxing. Lineage family Kungfu Systems practice such form and function Kungfu in secret and this is a blessing to see. The sharing of Internal Systems with the West has made us believe that the big three internal styles are never to be displayed in one form or as one system. But when done it is Pugilistic Taiji Quan: Peerless Boxing...
Bagua is only about two hundred years old.Tai Ji predates that considerably. To confuse Xin Yi with Tai Ji is also a mistake. They have totally different origins and formats. Xin Yi has three accepted style formats, Shaanxi, Hebei, and Henan: I see none of them represented here.
@@MrDCrosswellYou can obviously see him performing “beng” at 0:57. If you pay attention you will see him performing other XingYi movements that are consistent with WuXing not the animal forms that you have probably waisted your time learning.

Thank you for sharing this video , again . I feel compelled to repeat my comment of 5 months ago . This Form & Performance is as " Good as Good Gets ! " Shih-Fu Wang Ping`s Play is Stunning in his Mastery of the Techniques , Breath-Takingly Beautiful , and Explosive in Powerful Chi-Kung !
@CottonBoxer Well I can't really comment on why other's labeled their video as they did. Although to my eye, it is clearly a Taiji form. There are postures, and variations of postures that are quite familiar. We see "Brush Knee Twist Step" At 0:44. At 2:13 we can see "Wave hands like Clouds".At 3:54 there's a neat variation on "Jade Lady works the Shuttles". And at 4:10 we can observe the signature move of Taiji "Single Whip". Although we can also see some Baguazhang at 3:27.
it's like all forms a way to focus on proper alignment posture and structure while moving, they're only useful to remind yourself unconsciously of the mechanics of your movement. In essence forms are useless unless they are followed with practice from another person. The most important aspect is to develop the sensitivity proper structure and body alignment.
@CottonBoxer I would love to know more about this set myself. All I can tell you of the origin is that it stems from Lu Mountain. So it isn't a Wudang set per se.
The text from the back of the VCDs (3-discs): From my (very weak) understanding of Chinese characters, the term "three treasures" doesn't seem to appear on the VCDs and there are no English subtitles on the VCDs so if he uses the term during the teaching, I would not have caught it. But in the second paragraph above it does seem to say that it combines taiji, xingyi and bagua into a unified whole. Wang Ping is of the Lu Shan Wudang San Feng Ziran [自然] Pai.
