I own this bike, but mine has dynamo hub front and rear lights. Otherwise it's the same. I too couldn't understand the choice of a brown saddle and black hand grips so I put a black Brooks B67 on it. I hated it lol. It looked so generic and... well.. ordinary. I immediately put the aged brown Brooks saddle it came with back on. A clever design choice indeed.
Good morning thank you for such a great video I've been trying to find out information on this bike and I can no longer afford my car I have no money and I was thinking about selling my car and buying this bicycle cuz I love the bike ride I'm not looking to go fast just something that I can cruise at a decent speed like maybe 10 or 12 miles an hour and have something really reliable and low maintenance would you recommend this bike for me and by the way where I live it's totally flat there's no hills no mountains so I don't have no climbing to worry about thank you for your response I appreciate it
There’s a Gazelle dealer in Punta Gorda Florida he’s a Swiss emigrant very knowledgeable in European bikes. I bought it from him. Go to Gazelle website and you’ll find a list of dealers in your State
From my point of view this bike is a lovely machine with nexus hub and shimano brakes costing around 900 US dollars - more robust and cheaper for sure than an italian Taurus 1908 - however, I would choose a british Pashley Souvereign quite at the same price but with higher quality and same features !
Gazelle are twice the quality of a Pashley. A Gazelle has stainless parts, even nuts and bolts. The chrome work is second to none. A Pashley will have rusted over after 6 months of being exposed to the elements. Every part on a Gazelle, including the quality of steel in the frame, is better quality than the Pashley.
it's just a small toolkit you need, sometimes put in a small pocket in the back of the saddle (optional). It takes me about 5 to 10 minutes to fix a tire on the road.
Excellent bike, love the classic look.
Nice introduction, pretty bike. I'd love for you to give a riding, street report.

A rear flat tire on the road equals the end of the trip . No way to fixe it without proper tools .
