What I like to do before moving on is put Celes in a party by herself, and in the forests near Vector until she's level 50. That way, once you get to the second half of the game, everyone jumps up to level 50 as well.
That's kind of a waste considering you lose out on many stat growths.
In the original Japanese version it's made clear in Figaro Castle and the Thamasa cutscene that Edgar is attracted to any female: kid, woman, or old lady. He's basically reminding himself that Relm is illegal :P
6:02 It can be inferred from the entire 2nd half of the game why messing with the statues might have caused a continent to move around :P I imagine stepping into the goddesses' presence would cause a... taste of future events. A warning, of sorts.

The Rule Of Cool exempts any island, building, or any other large non-aerodynamic object from needing an explanation for how it just mysteriously lifted off and started flying.

I have felt that all ff6 walkthrough vids are made like 3 years ago but this is actually new, it makes this so much better cause I can comment and everything.

I'm glad you pointed out the missing Returners. I think that's a big plothole-I mean did Cyan, Edgar, Sabin and Setzer just leave them to die?
And where's Cid? Wasn't he trying to help Setzer with the airship?
Kefka just took out a whole cadre of Espers last episode, I don't think they needed more people. And I think the continent started floating because the Emperor started messing with the statues, he did say something to that effect "Now THIS is power!".
And thanks I didn't know that the (Prayer)Beads were there at this point in the game, they are very good in the Advance version.

I find that in ff-games there is someone who is 6, someone who is 50+, and a bunch of 17-year-olds.

Though it is 16 in FFIX at least (possibly FFVII as well due to Cloud joining the army at that age), in the original Steam version it would be 18 like our world because Edgar says "Here's to hoping you're still around in eight years." Though, despite his refusal to flirt with Relm while she is too young (and it was meant as a joke), people apparently still got the wrong impression so the Pixel Remasters changed it to similar to the line here to avoid any implication of him wanting to flirt with her. "You've grown up so fast. You'll break a lot of hearts in the future."
I wonder why America still considers 18 too young for drinking (by three years no less). In Canada drinking age is 18 or 19 depending on province.
And to think Pangaea became a cloud of smog we live in today.

My absolute favourite area in the entire game.
Terra, Relm, Gau/Mog... usually the party i choose for it. Totally kicks ass up there.

Legal age in Japan is 14 for the record.
That doesn't work like how you think it does. You can't be a 30 year old and date a 14 year old.
It's meant for teenagers dating teenagers.
@KINFIN123 Very misleading. Local provincial laws almost always raise it up in Japan.
Legal age in Japan is much the same as it is in the states. However, adults having relationships with those that are underage are much more accepted over there, even if it technically isn't legal.
From the name I'd guess it's power is calculated from the amount of steps you've taken (the game actually counts yours steps :|).
There are also a minimum-step challenge out there, for those that want to try it.
And "Goddamn tea", lol, anyone who's played FFVII will get the reference.
I think in the GBA version, it says something along the lines of "wait 8 more years" or something.
Step Mine is another spell that's quite useful in low level games, although, the more powerful you make it for yourself, the more powerful it is when enemies use it against you; Gau also has a few rages that cast Step Mine but I don't think they can be learned just yet.
Speaking of Gau, he's not in any of the scenes in Thamasa; does he just not show up for those or did HC leave him on the Veldt to pick up at the end of this episode?
Pixel Remaster: The name warring triad more intuitively explains why they are in a triangle and turned to stone than goddesses in my opinion.

Hey HCBAily did you know that Step Mime can do 9999 damage (crazy at this point in the game) when you have taken over 300000 steps? Because it deals damage based on 1/32 of the number of steps I think. so around 320000 divided by 32 = about 9999. Cool Blue magic hunting!

It's been 16 in the UK for centuries. And it works for us so yeah whatever with the 18 insinuations.
And most people including most parents kinda just take 15 as a sensible age if they feel their kids are mature enough by then.

How useful is Sketch? While I've always liked Control, I never really used Sketch too much...or rather, when I did, it often didn't seem too useful. Was I really missing out on a lot?
Evade actually DOE'S work on SNES, afaik. If you have a weapon that evades, then if you have high evade, the weapon will dodge more. Same goes for shadow's dog.

how long? Jeez... Using an emulator with speed up, that depends on how fast its going, and if you can react good to it. It might take a few hours. Now, no speeding up? Could take a day. However, the biggest problem with having everyone jump up is the stat gains you will miss. Its a double edged sword. Its easier and takes less time to level up this way, but if you stat boost everyone, they will end up being much stronger than if you jumped.
Are the Greasemonk's a rare battle? I've probably had over 50 random battles there and they won't show up...
I am replying late here, but no, the GreaseMonks shouldn't be particularly rare - you actually have a 5/8 chance of finding them on the plains around South Figaro.

That's not the best part of it. The best part is Sabin being utterly confused at their reaction.
FFVI is one of the few games in the series that readily acknowledges that not all the party knows everything. I mean, I'm just playing FFVII and although only two people meet Cait Sith, nobody in the rest of the party feels the need to ask who he is when they end up in the Corel prison a minute later.
You are considered an adult at the age of 16 in Japan. So yeah Relm is still WAY TOO young. ;p
