Hi, im new to all this but im very intrested in buying one for drifting and i see some of them are 4WD with drift set up and some are RWD. Witch one's are better?
Hi, I want to get into RC Drifting just for fun but I am really new and don't know where to start on reading up about parts and performances. I guess I like Tamiya but then again, i know nothing of other brands. A main question I have is, why are most RC Drifting done with electric and not gas or nitro. Then the minor question would be what size chassis is typical for drifting. Is it the chassis or body plastic that changes in scale? Edit: Also, Im ok with the product being not RTR because I know how to put things together my self. I feel that if I have the knowledge of motor types and chassis, I would be able to put together a setup thats right for me. Of course stock would be first till I feel the way it runs needs something different...
the Tamiya VDF 2 is a great chassis. Yokomo and MST are other great brands to look into. They do nitro drifting but its not as common that electric. The ease of use with electric can't be matched. Using 1/10 electric you can drift indoor where as with nitro you couldn't. For motor setup I use a 8.5T brushless setup and for a brushed setup I use a 15T to 12T motor. I prefer brushless do to it being much smoother and more configuration parameters
shawnroy81 hey, thanks for the reply! Yes, after I wrote my first comment I did run into yokomo. Then I ran into shaft vs belt driven but I see belt is also easier and more commonly used. As for motor, I guess brushless seems like a good choice to me too. Thanks again for the info.
hey, great videos, i m just wondering that where u can find the whole kit, cause i looked around the website and couldnt find the kit, only parts. Thank you
awesome build. what drive system are you going to use? nitro, electric, brushlrss electric. I'm not sure if it van use nitro but it would be cool if you did
I have that idea in my head to use this chassis as a touring car with front motor, rwd and the standard steering linkage. Could I just turn around the front one-way to have rwd but front wheel braking as well?
So... it's a very costfull Hobby a Controller for 300 Dollar... The chassis for 400 and the bodykit another 40... Im studiying and with my capital in the month i only get 1000 Euros so i will never Start a Hobby like this im only dreaming XD
Dimi Karan I'm 14 years old and I started with prebuilt cars and I could afford what I wanted by working hard, yes the hobby can be expensive but it's worth the extra effort
I couldn't tell ya cause I have never taken the radar to it. Lets say I can walk beside it no prob because its drifting so all the tires are spinning with no traction to keep the car sideways. If your looking for something fast this is not it. You should look at the TA05 chassis not the TA05 VDF as this is a dedicated drift rig
Looks great! Just love the look - looks more refined than a lot of the others. :)
Thanks. ya I think so too
wow nice tamiya kit. looks $$ though. is that red thread locker? good idea? or tamiya red not the same as loctite red? Id go for the blue..
Nice build, looks great. Thumbs up.
thanks. appreciate that
Awesome. Drifting looks really good but I don't really have the money! I do buggy racing though and that is really good!
THanks...Ya I hear that. something you need to stick to one branch of the hobby
Hey, how much would you recommend this one? Or would a TT02 work also well for drifting?
Awesome videos ! I was thinking about getting the VDFv2 or the Yokomo DIB Ver.2 Premium Edition, any thoughts on which one is better?
Thanks. They are both great platform. I have drifted both and they are on par for sure....grab the one thats a better deal
ChuckH3 Neither, grab a MST kit instead.
what a beautiful chassis :)
Hi,what’s a good tamiya drift chassis ?
the rear wheels are need to be angled like this?
+Tal Zbrizer that's the why my is setup. Tuning comes after I do a few test runs

How long did it take to build? When did this model come out? It's a great build.
it took roughly 6 hours. The model is 1 year old. Thanks. appreciate it
there is any rc car that use another drive system instead of an toothed belt?, I mean with differentials or something like that
+Ronald Mattos check out my mst RMX. Its a rear wheel drive shaft driven car. Eagle racing also make some shaft driven drifters
I'll take a look, yesterday I've done q little research and discovered that exists some cars with drive shaft, they look more "real" to me, thx mate
where can i get a set of screwdrivers for rc builds like this?
online my friend.
how much time it can really take to build the whole chassis
+Tal Zbrizer It could take up to 5hrs to build. longer if your new to builds
hey, great videos, i m just wondering that where u can find the whole kit, cause i looked around the website and couldnt find the kit, only parts. Thank you
I purchased mine from ebay.
You making look easy. Good movie
I've had a version 1. Its my bottom bitch. 1.4 CS and -6 camber in front. Love it.
Hi, I'm very new to this stuff but I'd like to try and build one, is there a kit you can recommend?
Mst has some very nice drift kits but its expensive. You can get in it pretty cheap with a TT01 kit and a little modifications.
shawnroy81 Thanks, I'll check it out.
Goot fuck
Is that chassis made for nitro
Thanks mate! Dose it come with a one-way diff as stock
no it doesnt
do u need to bye any extra stuff
Mr.joker 13 tools
awesome build. what drive system are you going to use? nitro, electric, brushlrss electric. I'm not sure if it van use nitro but it would be cool if you did
whats better Sakura D3 or Tamiya TA05
the TA05 hands down
Im 14 year old should i buy a kit and build it my self or arr
ARR chassis

I'm 46 and I don't understand this Assembly procedure. I guess I'm just a little slow. I need to advance myself. help me creator of the universe.

LOL no prob! Nice build video BTW. Enjoyed watching it.
Vertical Double Frame. Refers to the carbon fiber frame braces.
Thanks Ken! :)
how long did it take to build?
4hrs or so
thanks
wat is this type i know hpi, exceed, but wat is a sprint and this
a sprint 2 is made by HPI and this is one is a Tamiya kit

RWD or AWD
Awd
Thx for the website.
I have that idea in my head to use this chassis as a touring car with front motor, rwd and the standard steering linkage. Could I just turn around the front one-way to have rwd but front wheel braking as well?
Do the screwdrivers have to be pacific to rc builds?
Original or clone ?
Hafizi Zainal original
can u buy some RC for me please because I don't have any RC u can pursel to Tripura
So... it's a very costfull Hobby a Controller for 300 Dollar... The chassis for 400 and the bodykit another 40... Im studiying and with my capital in the month i only get 1000 Euros so i will never Start a Hobby like this im only dreaming XD
+Joe Dady used is ok. I wanted to build that's why
Dimi Karan I'm 14 years old and I started with prebuilt cars and I could afford what I wanted by working hard, yes the hobby can be expensive but it's worth the extra effort
You can buy cheap controller/ trasmitter for like 30dollar
Go Ebay man. I'm just getting chassis what's carbon and metal for 140 qid
I built it so fast and my father isn't believe me that I built it perfect
+Tal Zbrizer nice...keep up the builds
Okay, and how much km/h?
I couldn't tell ya cause I have never taken the radar to it. Lets say I can walk beside it no prob because its drifting so all the tires are spinning with no traction to keep the car sideways. If your looking for something fast this is not it. You should look at the TA05 chassis not the TA05 VDF as this is a dedicated drift rig
how fast it'il?
not very. Its a drift car so it never has full traction. If it had grip tires it would be very fast depending on the combo
かっこいい!俺も買おうかな
Ultra enough money blip non
Too fucking fast there speedy...
es muí rrapido y nomegusta
