- How To Place A Nuc Into A Beehive
We are passionate about beekeeping and really enjoy helping beekeepers through our UA-cam channel.
On our channel you can find information on making splits with swarm cells, making increase with queen cells, grafting larvae, foulbrood and disease inspection, honey extraction and machinery, top tips for beginners, products reviews, instructions and guidance plus much more.
#NONONSENSEBEEKEEPING is a UK based beekeeping channel, designed to keep beekeeping as simple and enjoyable as possible. There are no overly complicated techniques or intricate pieces of equipment.
We cover all beekeeping topics ranging from queen rearing, disease recognition/control, honey extraction, swarm management/collection, how to make splits and much more!
My personal favourite aspects of beekeeping are selecting queens for rearing, rearing queens for mating, making up nucs for overwintering and collecting swarms.
We aim to bridge the gap between commercial and hobbyist beekeepers and cater for beekeepers of all experience levels.

A very relevant video because I’m getting 2x Langstroth NUCs on 19/6 and it is helpful to know in advance what needs to be done and the preparations required. Simon 😊
Glad it helped :)
All very good advice, i did exactly as laurence said. Got my nuc's in march, made 5 splits to date, making 7 more this week and they are all on 5 supers each loaded
Where are you based?

Thank you so much! I have used Langstroth polys for 14 years with the same feeders and never knew I could leave them on to act as insulation, OR the great idea to put lots of straw in instead of using the plastic strips! My hives are on a farm next to the straw bales! Great advice Lawrence. Your videos always help me so much!
You're ready helping beekeepers start off well😊
Superb video. Just what i needed, thank you Laurence. 🏴👌🏻
NUC that hive!
Do you ship queens to the US?
