depends on playstyle. headshooting everyone while camo'd can get old after a few dozen playthroughs. personally, going full wrench build never gets old.
It's good for waiting out alarms I guess. Triggering an alarm from a hacking puzzle should be great if you want security bots without getting hurt, but I don't know if it works the same way as in Bioshock 2.

Natural Camoflage is by far the best tonic you can get, so research those Houdinis asap to get it.
