- They Couldn't Beat These Runs. Can I Save Them? BTD6 / Bloons TD 6 - I've been coming across a lot of posts recently of players being stuck late in their CHIMPS runs...today I replicate their setups in-game to see if I can pull them out of this mess and turn it into a victory!

this would be a really fun series I think you should continue doing these every once in a while and try and salvage runs from fans
this concept is like challenge editor in that you need to solve a puzzle, and judging from just the first salvaged run (where im at so far), youll need some unorthodox thinking. pretty good stuff! more practical than the usual challenge editor videos in a way
This reminds me of LegendofTotalWar’s “saving disaster campaigns” where he tries to save a user submitted campaign that seems unwinnable.
This is similar to a series the UA-cam bittersteel does for other games

I saw the title and I was almost in shock, because I immediately knew what this was going to be, and god damn this is a phenomenal idea for a video. I can't believe no one thought of this before now. I haven't even watched yet, but I feel like this is going to be a banger.
There’s some civ 6 players that do “disaster saves”. It’s pretty much the same thing.

It's like a mix of doing challenges and regular runs, taking the best aspects of both! Reminds me of chess puzzles in a way!
Even if you don’t have knowledge about towers, placement is a very intuitive thing. It’s crazy how people still place things in horrible spots
I was genuinely on the edge of my seat for that 2nd setup. That was some insane work from ISAB.
These set ups really remind me of the old days, I would place some random towers too instead of mainly focusing on 1 to 2 main attackers + supports. I used to be particularly infatuated with the Dark Knight, getting 2 to 4 2-0-3 Super Monkeys per run

I'll have you know, this is even better than the average challenge videos (and those are bangers). Still prefer, personally, challenges that are like nearly impossible and take you hours, but if that's not doable, then this is the next best thing.
This is a great show case of an expert player vs a learning player (no insults towards those.) the ability to see the issue and work around with what you got

Disaster saves are very common on other strategy game channels, I never thought about applying it to btd6! Very clever

Hey I watched some of your videos.
I know you have bloons pfp but you don’t have any bloons content on your channel (that I could find).
You mainly play roblox and playing bloons or doing this idea of saving runs.
This is a good idea, I think. It's always fun to see something other than the tried and tested; at this point BTD6 has pretty much been 'solved,' so there's not a whole lot to say about whether or not some boss or other can be beaten (the answer is yes.) But something like this forces a challenge in a way that feels more organic; it includes things which aren't so bad that they require a specific single setup to work, but things which are almost good enough and so give you a lot of space to get creative.
It's also nice to see that subreddit in a not negative light. I have to admit, one of the things that turned me off the game a while back was the revolting attitude that some people had on various forums; there were a lot of people pretty viciously making fun of newer or more casual players for using ineffective strats, as though somehow someone else not being as good at the game was personally insulting. Hopefully something like this can serve as something helpful towards newer or less experienced players, rather than a mockery.

I can't say I'd like to see this often, but as an occasional thing this was a blast.
I really loved the concept and it was super cool watching you problem solve something that might not be possible. Really unique to your other style of content and I definitely want more of this.
With so many asking the equivalent of "can we fix it?", you'd think there's a BTD6 version of "Bob the Builder"

I love this video idea! There's been times where I've been stuck at round 98 or 99 with a scuffed defense and wished someone could tell me how to salvage my run, so seeing you salvage other players' runs is super satisfying.
That concept is very interesting. I'd definitely like watching more of this type of thing.

This series might be really useful for a lot of people since they show the usual mistakes for chimp runs (like using non appropriate towers or placing a lot of them which won't be upgraded and won't perform good later) and options on how to overcome them.
Also, it's basically just challenge editor but with pre placed towers if you think on it.

honestly you should continue this as a viewer submission series. have fans show you runs their stuck on and give you all the info and you make videos showing how it can be done and helping
My chimps strategy is basically primary beatdown( crossbow master by round 55, inferno ring by round 80, 520 village by round 90 and an icicle impale by the end of it). I was able to black border almost all begginer maps with this strat

i have noticed from my own mistakes, that enbritlement often solves r98 problems cheaply, because it's good against moabs and grouped bloons. it has saved me a couple of times.
