I really like this entire album. They are a Christian band as well, if someone hasn't mentioned that yet. Doesn't really take away from their music though, kind of like Skillet.

The Christian part doesn't take away from Skillet's music but the vocalist being an absolutely fucking awful human being does make the band impossible to enjoy anymore. It's so sad how he's become.

i was able to do stage crew for them. hands down the best group of guys you’ll ever get to meet. they went out of the way to talk to everyone who was helping out at the event.
This era of TFK was great live. Saw them several times. My favorite is their frequent closer "Puppet" which also has a killer riff. The live version is on the UA-cams.
You may have heard Trevor McNevan side project FM Static. He does guest vocals on all sorts of projects as well.

back in the 90's these boys were the Christian Limp Bizkit, no joke.
Man, TFK is one the bands that I grew up listening to. Wish they'd release some new stuff but who knows if that'll happen. Glad you enjoyed them though. They are really good.
He also raps in some of the songs on this album. Light up the Sky is one song.
Legendary song
This was the band that got me into rock music when I was a kid. Back then my parents really only played religious music so I hadn't been exposed to heavier stuff at all. Since this was a Christian band it was my first real exposure to anything on the heavier side (much like a lot of the Chrirstcore bands that lot of kids grew up with). The 3 albums that came before this one are a lot more solid than the album this song comes from, but most of TFK's albums are great.

I remember when I was a kid I'd put this every single morning
I remember a single of theirs called "Rawkfist" that I had a moment with maybe 20-ish years ago, didn't realize they had any other big songs. Might have to dig a little deeper here myself...
The lead singer is also the guitarist when they record. When they play live he just sings.

what I love about Christian bands like TFK and Skillet is that you don't have to be a Christian to enjoy it. as a Christian we understand the meaning behind the lyrics and we can apply it to our beliefs, and those who aren't Christian can apply their own themes and messages to it to make it suit them best. plus they're absolutely banging songs
