One thing that people do when they lie or make up stories is they have way to many details. If you're in a situation like that things generally move so fast and you're kinda in a shocked mindset to where you don"t really know whats going on, you won't be able to remember every detail like the color of the neighbor's shirt when he came outside to walk his dog 3 minutes and 42 seconds after you arrived
