Love the honesty of the video. I thought with the new OLED dock, and that 4k-ish chip thing that’s in there, that the mClassic would help a bit more than with the original dock. Sadly, I was mistaken. Like you said, it helps a little, but not a whole lot. Also, that’s a badass blender you have there in your kitchen.

Nice fair review! I actually think this could make a difference on my 1080p 27inch monitor that I sit like 2 feet from. In my experience the monitor still benefits from 4K images and resolution is most important the closer you are to the screen imo. This is just my speculation and don’t know if it’s worth the price
Yea it looks really nice on a display just not what I was looking for initially.
Great video & I learned new things watching. Also, I think Nintendo needs to invest in technology to screen mirror/screen share onto smart tv or pc/computer monitors for the next new NS hardware.

I have both the MCable and the MClassic and I prefer the MCable by far. I mostly use the MClassic for my Wii, PS3, and my Wii U. For the MCable it’s in the switch at all times. (Also BOTW was created for Wii U hardware PowerPC architecture not switch’s.) lol
I now have ti permanently plugged into the dock
I can see this maybe for someone who has a lower end 4k tv and no/poor upscaling. Otherwise Brands like Sony are killing it with their processors and how well they're able to upscale.

I've been looking into this as a way to "increase" performance by at least making the game look perfect 1080p (I have a smaller TV, don't really need 4k) while running my Switch at 720p. Eventually even fiddle with Overclocking but always at 720p to get maximum performance with little overload on the chip. Is it possible to simply upscale 720p to 1080p with this? Thanks in advance!
yes. it will definitely do that!
It refuses to do so on my switch. So on my 4k monitor the mclassic looks worse than normal 1080p on the switch.
I have had the MClassic for a little under a year and I LOVE IT, I have it plugged into my PS3. Playing my Ps2 games paired with the ps3 and the MClassic up scaling which blow me out of the water. It’s the closest I have seen to pcsx2 from a console. Looks really good for ncaa 06 especially in the menus.
It really makes things look nicer but the switch needs a lot more than an upscaler right now

but not a noticeable one
That is not a graphic card upgrade. It is just a resolution upscale. It is not like switch games can magically have processing power to output graphical fidelity of a ps4 game.

5 years wow so its been sitting around collecting dust for 3 years now. PC and Quest 2 and Wifi PC VR FTW. None of them charge for online either. Fuck Consoles today.
