    Love your work! Is there a reason that the coloring part is done with clear instead of white glue? Is it so the colors can be determined easier?

    • @artempouriumarteveryonecan6703
      @artempouriumarteveryonecan6703  Рік тому +4

      Yes. The glue all stays textured longer as it dries. Also, I can see the desired color as I'm painting it on without waiting for it to dry.

      I think if you clean the glass well with alcohol after window cleaner...it will have the best chance for sticking over a longer period of time.

    Hello. I know your video here is over a year old but I just found it. I have been looking for an alternative for Gallery Glass and want to try the Elmer's glue method you do here. My question is can this technique be used on a window or glass that is upright in a door instead of laying flat on a table? I have paned doors I want to do this on but cannot take the door off to lay flat and will be painting this on in an upright position. Does the fact that its glue your using make the product pool at the bottom on your panes or lead? I hope this makes sense.

    • @artempouriumarteveryonecan6703
      @artempouriumarteveryonecan6703  2 роки тому +2

      This process would be difficult on an upright surface. You may want to try it in a small area using thin layers..then building on your layers as they dry. As you know glue us liquid so you will have pooling toward the bottom, however you could work that into your shading or texture of the design.

    I have tried food coloring and it has the same effect as alcohol inks.. the only downside is that, although food coloring is cheaper, alcohol inks have more color variety. Both are see through and beautiful, though.

    I have searched for your comment on the portions of black acrylic paint and Elmers glue all but can’t find it anywhere. Sorry if I missed it. If you have time, could you give the portions. Like what part glue to what part paint? (I do understand to mix clear Elmer’s glue to the alcohol paint, to my liking). Thank you so much. I am officially inspired!

    • @artempouriumarteveryonecan6703
      @artempouriumarteveryonecan6703  2 роки тому +1

      The portions will vary based on the type of acrylic paint you use. (Soft, medium body paint, etc.) The important thing is the ability to flow and control the flow out of whatever you are using to squirt the mixture onto the glass.

    I hope that you are still checking comments… Does sun/heat effect or melt the glue, making it run?

    • @artempouriumarteveryonecan6703
      @artempouriumarteveryonecan6703  9 місяців тому

      Sun or heat never makes it run, however if the glass is not completely clean before starting, you may see some peeling. Sun may make some fading especially with alcohol based inks. I use dye based inks and I've had some pieces that have stayed intact for years with minimal to no fading.

      I never use school glue. It is not the same formula even though it looks the same as the GlueAll. I do not seal. In fact if the glass is completely clean there should be no pulling away from the glass unless it gets very wet . Before starting I use alcohol to clean the glass after window cleaner to remove anti fog/ streak chemicals.
