I've been restoring a 1991 GMC Safari that's been off the road for 7 years. Bodywork was covered in lichen, algae and moss, and wouldn't scrub off. Sorted it out very easily by steam cleaning it. The paintwork was degrading, so it will get a full respray, but areas that were painted about 10 years ago came up completely clean. Good luck with the Honda when the time comes.

you can reduce the strain on the winch by adding a snatch block.

Nice work. How about installing the battery in the box and using some longer wires which get to the trailer. On the Trailer, next to the winch place, using a water resistant conecterbox / plug to attach the winch much faster without moving the battery and the controler.

All good ideas and things I plan on doing when I'm not on such a time crunch from both the rain and the ticket happy county

That 3,500lb winch pull is rated when the winch line is nearly completely unspooled. I would have gone with a bigger winch but anyway reduce your cable to the shortest necessary to get future jobs done.

You’re going to have to charge that battery after every pull too :)

I'd like to get a synthetic line anyway since this one is already starting to fray. The battery has been pretty impressive so far... I would like to put some kind of voltage cutoff switch to avoid running it much lower than 10.5 volts at any point

I guess you could also take power from the trailer to charge up the battery while it's stowed in the box as well.

What I like about your videos is you're a problem solver. You would have made a great SEAL.

Use a pulley on the load and double back to the winch with the cable and you will increase t he pull rating.

It's incredible how voices are different with the person in-sight compared to when it is voice only, see The old Tony, mr Pete222 and yours for a long time, great video again by the way!

Hi Tim your trailer is getting set up nicely. That little winch did a great job. I wonder what you will create next. I do like watching your videos. Your pal Helcat in Australia.

Poor Honda. Looks like it was a nice project car in the past :) what happened with it?
