I thoroughly enjoyed this series. It was so relaxing to watch! I think all of the actors did a great job in their roles. They were all quite believable. I was a tiny bit disappointed that we didn't get to see Hong Dou wearing her beautiful heirloom wedding dress, but that's a very small detail, and, as Granny Xie so wisely noted, we don't always get everything we want. That doesn't take anything away from the beauty of this story.
Well, we can all conclude that she had a beautiful wedding soon after, seeing that both sets of parents had a meet-up in this episode. It is not difficult to imagine the embroidered wedding dress and paraphernalia passed on to her. One thing I like about this series is the economy of it all -- nothing more, nothing less. No unnecessary long-drawn-out scenes which do not propel the narrative forrward. For example, Chen Nanxing's health decline and death was tackled in just one episode but we still got the closeness between her and Doudou and how it led to Doudou taking the journey to Yunnan that she did. So, no need for an elaborate and drawn-out wedding scene just to satisfy the voyeur in some of us 🤪
This drama was just exquisite. Moving ,thoughtful, beautiful. The first Cdrama I've watched where there was no filler, no wasted scenes. 40 episodes went by in flash, and I could have spent another 40 with these lovely characters in that wonderful place. Bravo to all involved.
After finishing the episodes it feels like I am a part of their village. Like a neighbour who is listening and taking part in all of their stories . This drama is really so close to really and more closer to my heart.

I don't know why, i just feel myself get into their life. I learnt that, in the end we gonna find our own ways as long as we keep going and find our own ways. Maybe at the first it's all about the storm but a bright sky gonna come again. Not all about flowers road but how we teach ourselves to keep pursue our dream and hope. Was looking for romance c-dramas to watch from Reddit and saw this recommended. Didn’t regret watching it one bit. Makes me feel like the village really exist and I want to meet all of these ppl there. That’s how homely this drama feels. A good job to the actors too for successfully depicting their characters. I agree with Hongdou that sometimes words is powerless for us to express something, but i hope my happiness and excitement after watch all the episodes can deliver to all of you really well. I first watched this drama on Netflix while holidaying in Taiwan in Dec 2023. Dali left a deep impression and I am now planning for a Dec 2024 family holiday to Yunnan. While planning my holiday and booking my hotels and homestays, I watched this drama series the second time, trying to make sure I remember the places I want to visit! hahaha...😂
You don’t know how much I cried when it ended it was such a heartwarming drama I loved everything about it and how the characters struggles with there life and how beautiful a quiet village can be the romance was on point everything about it was amazing and I love the slow burn to❤😭

Just finished this masterpiece, and I just know from now on my whole emotion system will rely on watching it again and again ! What a delight , no villans , no broken hearts ,no misunderstandings no headaches. Just pure joy , I loved every single episode and every single character from the lovely old women and their gorgeous costumes , to the innocent cute kids ❤ , everyone's story was interesting, and we got to see a wide range of stories from different people with different perspectives. the leads love story is one of the most natural and convincing stories I've ever seen , they're reallly compatible and they took their time to fully know each other before getting together, it's not like those fairytale stories where usually the ML falls for the FL for no reason at all , they truly suit eachother, and they're equally kind and interesting, and both of them make enough effort to make the relationship work , it's rare to see that in a show. Not to mention the beautiful scenery, I really hope I could visit yunnan someday. I'm not a great cdrama fan but this one is special , it has a healing storyline with many life lessons ❤
Best drama for me that I have ever watched. I deeply feel like happiness, warmth, kindness, sadness, caring in each and every episodes. I couldn't stop crying in all 40 episodes because I completely immersed in each and every characters. That drama gives me a lot of thoughts, courage, ways to reflect the past, stay in the present and less worries for the future. I can see myself, reflect myself and understand by myself. "Time will go on carelessly. Happiness will never end. Dark clouds are temporary, since there will always be wind." Really worth to watch.

I really enjoyed this series. So relaxing, and calming and this is a healing drama. Xu Hong Dou brings us to heal together virtually. This drama has a deep meaning, especially about life, family, and friendship. Dou and Yao are very mature in their romantic relationship, support and understand each other. Btw, Xie Zhi Yao is the greenest flag guy I have ever seen in all the dramas I have watched. Even I really want to stay in that Youfeng Yard. Darn, that guesthouse is so beautiful and aesthetic. I wish one day I can come and have an adventure in Yunmiao village. last, but not least, Meet Yourself helped and healed me slowly when I was down. Surely, I'm gonna watch this drama again and again.

For someone who writes and haven't published a thing yet, Damai and Mr. Hu's life journey were important to me and I've learnt a lot. For someone who has nearly lost all of my best friends, ( Sala 26, Salomé 28, Mary 36)Dou's life journey was important to me. This is the best realistic movie I've ever seen and hopefully will ever see. Good job to the creators of this genius of work. I wish however, that we could get season 2

What an untaxing, escapist treat this show was. Nowhere near as silly or rigid as other C-Dramas, the lead couple was believable and the cast of characters that drifted in and out were all thoroughly likeable and charming. A lovely, cosy watch in these troubled times. Here's hoping there's a Meet Yourself 2 in the pipeline.

what can i say about this drama. its the most real cdrama ive seen. there was a time i was about to stop watching because of the slow pacing. but glad i held on. even though it was boring at times. there was some amazing parts as well. feel bad for xiaxia. he didnt get the girl.
