- New Weapon, final stages, from Mega Man X4 for the Playstation PSX. No damage taken, buster only speed run (Stock Charge). During this first phase of disabling the New Weapon, X encounters two bosses, and neither is difficult by any means. Double dashes around the room most of the time, he rarely engages in other attacks. Note only a charged buster shot or his weakness, Double Cyclone, can damage him. The General is also disappointingly easy...for this late in the game that is. He will slowly hover back and forth, completely leaving himself vulnerable to attack. For most of this encounter I would advise staying on the walls, particularly in the upper corners seem to be the safest positions. The General's hitbox here is rather small however. You'll need to hit him directly in the head to do any damage. His fists can also be used as platforms to reach adequate height to damage him. The Generals weakness is the Twin Slasher.

Even Double's name is suspicious as hell. And with such gigantic body, all General could do was flying around.

Wow great job here Sliider! and I just learned from you in that Double fight I had no idea the dashing would help you avoid those giant crecent moon shaped blasts Double shoots I thought those were unavoidable but you just proved otherwise.
Honestly, dashing for me is the ONLY way to dodge.

and he is weak to the DOUBLE Cyclone attack but at the same time the said attack will make him spam fierce attacks he normally never uses it so his weakness is somewhat a DOUBLE-edged sword. Double is just full of puns.

thanks. i enjoyed the stock charge... it was something different, ya know? and it presented a bit more challenge in some circumstances, and was more advantageous in others. but youre right, its rare for people to use it. in fact, ive never seen another player on yt utilize it. though there could be others now. i can recall thinking "is the stock charge that shitty, that no one on earth ever uses it?" no, it just requires a bit more patience and strategy to use effectively. and the plasma shot is easily the more attractive option for sure. i was hoping it would make a return in later x games, but nope. and i dont think anyone else really minded heh.
I never liked the plasma shot tbh. Only got past sigma because of the Stock Charge
@@Sliider36 The stock charge seemed really useful to me at first but it doesn't go through most enemies/objects so I prefer Plasma Shot
It dosen't suck against bosses though? Plasma Shot is superior to the Stock Shot in every way if you ask me.

You're better off not using it. Makes your life harder by paradoxical reasoning.
It can be spammed up close constantly but you’ll need the health tanks to keep you from death.

In the sequel series, Rockman Zero, the enemies spurt blood when you slash them. Or maybe it's meant to be red oil for whatever reason. I dunno.
It might also be that the "hunters" killed here are just clowns pretending to be robots, given how they just stand around and be generally useless. Not a great example of a paramilitary fighting force.

This was probably made before the Pokemon Porygon fiasco, when such effects weren't as well-documented yet.
