Just watched this vlog again and remembered there was a movie in 1984 called “The Killing Fields” which was nominated for an Oscar for best movie in 1985. Haing S. Ngor who played Dith Pran won the best supporting actor award…….he survived the Pol Pot regime but unfortunately was murdered in LA’s Chinatown in 1997 , shot by a Asian gang member.
Sorry to hear about your $40 loss, not good but you should report it to the hotel management so they are aware of it……they didn’t have a safe in the room? BTW do you have a pay pal account if one wants to support your travels?
Remember, the majority of those skulls ( more than 75% of what so called victims) were Khmer Rouge cadres themselves. They too have blood stain on their hands from killing innocent people out in the country side. I'm probably a very small minority who has the courage to say this because the world has already put this place as the forefront of the Khmer Rouge era.
Really enjoying your vlogs especially the Cambodia videos 👍 Are you going to Kampot or Koh Rong Sanloem?
Thank you so much! and we’re not visiting those cities for this trip

That’s so sad. Asia made us want to leave more about history, I’m sure watching it will hit different now that we’ve seen it in person

We reported it to the hotel just in case it happened to someone else 😅 We have a buymeacoffee link in our description
